    Porter Cable question

Even with the smaller pads, they can load up and stop rotating, so remember to clean off the excess product (and dirt/debris) periodically during use.

What are your brands of choice?

Mostly Meguiar's - generally speaking: affordable & easy to use, from the perspective of a relative novice

    Need help with detailing process

Sometimes hard water can etch in bad enough that all you can do is smooth them out, but the outline can remain. I think Stoops or Pennington did an article on this on here, so try searching for it..

GG 6" Rop polishing speed and model question

Why so much concern about the noise? If you're only doing your car on one day, for an hour or so, I wouldn't think it would be thought of as any different than someone cutting grass or some other routine residential chore.

Will a sealant "seal" in a polish or glaze?

So are you all saying that because you can get new swirls, it means the top coat of wax did not seal in the undercoat of sealant? I would think the appearance of new swirls just means that you got new swirls. Or, if they're not new swirls, but the reappearance of the same, old swirls, couldn't...

I vote for the Ford Racing Whipple! But truth is, whichever one you get, you're gonna be happy with it..

    How do you handle this?

This is a bit of an over-generalization, so it may not necessarily be true with all medications and in all states. And Flannigan, I'm curious about the no drugs on your property policy- you say "illegal or legal", so does that include if I dropped my car off and I keep a bottle of Advil in the...

What is better for cold Canadian winters?

I'm curious- when you guys talk about how a wax or sealant "lasts" for x-months, how do you know it lasts? For example, do you decide it's still working based in amount of shine, amount / quality of water beading, how easy it appears to wash up, smoothness to touch, etc..??

    Polish disappearing at higher speeds?

I know exactly what you're talking about because I've noticed it before also. I think it's just centrifugal forces at work. The liquid/polish is relatively heavy and wants to sink to the bottom of the pad / surface of the panel, due to gravity. This is evident when sitting still and the pad is...

    Wife just got a new...

I find the biggest benefit of Wesley's Bleche-White is how well it cleans up raised white letters. Don't see much need for black-wall tires- on them I just spray a little extra wheel cleaner on the rubber and wash together, avoiding an extra step when it's really not needed.

    Meguiars product question

+1 on the M105/M205, especially for those of us in the lower skill brackets because they are pretty easy to use. But some things that may be even better for you to use by hand, along with being cheaper and even easier to find OTC, would be Ultimate Compound and/or Swirl-X....
