This is a follow up to my post ending with the application of two coats of BFWD. This morning I went out and put on a coat of Midnight Sun Carnauba Wax by hand with a foam applicator. It’s an interesting product to work with. You do a panel at a time and wipe it off. You need to change the wiping surface frequently. You can tell you’re getting close to done buffing as the last traces of wax disappear and the car finish starts to grab the mf towel. The addition of the Midnight Sun adds some depth and wetness to the BFWD as you would expect from a carnauba wax on a sealant. It is very similar in appearance to Meguiars Gold Class Carnauba Plus. Thanks for looking.

Hell of a way to spend a weekend:buffing:

Looks great man! I really like the last one, had me lost for a min lol.

Truck butt,

I take it thats your personal car. Is it a summer car or do you drive it year round? It sure is nice. I'm thinking about a GT this spring.

Wait a minute, I have to get my shades to look at this gorgeous Mustang, it's too shinny!! :props:

UNBELIEVABLE!! :dblthumb2:

It is my weekend car. I drive it whenever the weather is nice. If you like muscle cars that aren't particularly refined you'll love the Mustang GT. Mine is going in for a blower in a few weeks.

What kind of blower?

It looked fantastic with the BFWD, now it looks super fantastic.

Very nice!

I vote for the Ford Racing Whipple! But truth is, whichever one you get, you're gonna be happy with it..

I have a KB on my cobra but if I had to start over and still went the blower way it would be a whipple! But i'm a turbo guy now :dblthumb2:

I would have went with a turbo if I thought I could get it through NJ emissions- but I'm not complaining...

Very nice car. I'm kinda leaning on the GT for spring. Good luck with the blower.

you mentioned it looks like Meguiars Gold Class Plus,
were u comparing with liquid or paste of Gold Class?
how does the ease of application compare?
durability wise, how long did u get from ur Gold Class?

I use the liquid Gold Class Plus as it's easier to use with a DA. They both go on easy. In terms of durability, I really don't know. I always put a fresh coat of carnauba on every 3-4 weeks and it always lasts that long. No garage.

thanks for the comparison between gold class and blackfire!
Gold Class is good stuff if the 2 products perform similar, especially when you consider the price difference!
