    Typical LC Pad Usage Amount?(Duration)

Hi guys, I am fairly new to detailing, with but a few PC7424XP uses. Today I go to use an Orange LC CCS Smart pad for MAYBE the third time, and as I fire up the PC(speed 4) the pad separates between the foam and the loop part of the Velcro and goes flying. :buffing: Just checking to see if 2-3...

Good deal for old Corvette or bad deal?

I have a '76 with 50k original miles, all numbers matching, I'd let go cheaper than those.

Autogeek Baseball Caps - Which Design Do YOU like Most?

I think its more the low ball style. I, personally, like my hats to sit fairly low. Right on my ears. These appear to be like the old 50s and 60s baseball hats, where they are made shorter and to be worn higher on the head.

Autogeek Baseball Caps - Which Design Do YOU like Most?

I'm not really a fan of this style hat, but the grey would be the best of the bunch. Real versatile, won't show dirt as bad as white would, and goes with anything.

Ok to layer on top of collinite #845?

Good to know. Would a first wax, such as xmt 360 spray wax, have the same impact?

Ok to layer on top of collinite #845?

As the title states, is this suitable? I was wanting to either put a coat of liquid souverain or natty's blue, but I also don't want to interfere with the long lasting durability of the collinite. Thanks in advance.

What is this on my clay bar??

Feasible...Georgia is known for it's red clay. Thanks for all of the opinions guys. It really wasn't a big deal as long as it was coming off. Curiosity just got the better of me, and I needed to have some sort of clue. :xyxthumbs:

What is this on my clay bar??

It came from the hood. The rest of the car felt the same way, though I didn't continue since I had to get ready for work.

What is this on my clay bar??

Well, I bought the car from Birmingham, AL in July, which is prety dang far from any major airports.

What is this on my clay bar??

Lol, could be. The car is low enough to have smashed the oil pan once. Full shot of said car:

What is this on my clay bar??

Yes, came off pretty easily. The paint still cleans up fairly nice, especially for it's age, after a good wash. The car's paint is pretty gritty feeling, and I am assuming that whatever this is is the culprit.

What is this on my clay bar??

I live about an hour from the airport in Atlanta. The car is green(as pictured) which is why I was wondering about overspray.

What is this on my clay bar??

Hey guys, Finally got around to wanting to detail my DD/project '97 Jetta. Washed her, dried her then started to clay and this is what came off on my clay bar: Never had the contaminants come off red. Just curious as to what this could be. Thanks guys.

Differences/things to take note when dealing with classic cars?

This helped a ton. The paint is just as described in that article so hopefully I can achieve near the same results. The car had been garage kept and only has 50k original miles.

Differences/things to take note when dealing with classic cars?

My step dad recently purchased a 1976 Corvette stingray and had left it to me to pretty her up. I have dealt with newer clear coat cars but never a classic. The paint is overall in good shape, but could really use a cleaning as it has lost most, if not all, of it's shine. Should I go the normal...

    Hey Everyone

Hey guys, I am relatively new to the detailing game, working with mainly OTC products and a few things I have picked up from here. I have recently bought a 2001 Galaxy Blue Volkwagen Jetta and am about to buy a porter cable to help clean up the paint. The hood is oxidized pretty bad as is the...
