Man you know what would be great?? Giving away a paid trip to the fest!!!! I know for me to drive to FL from WA would be a killer trip, but your talking two days there a day or two in Fl then the drive back. I do believe that this would be the mother of all giveaways for all of us.
Most of the time I try to clean someone elses car. I use to clean lots of cars for extra cash but due to my knees I only clean cars when it's time to restock. When big brown shows up at the driveway with my box, it's well worth the day and a half of ice and the pain.:righton: What do drug...
Man I can't wait to cut me some stuff with me new knife Im the MAN. Thanks to everybody at the geek for these cool knifes. Maybe now I can covince the wife that I need a flex to go with the new knife.
take the peanuts and put them in an empty gallon with the top cut open. Then poor a solvent like a tar remover, wax and grease remover, or even thinner and they will turn to liquid. It doesn't take very much solvent do a whole box worth. Then just set the jug some where and let the goo dry...
Love souveran on dark colors, but for a bout I might think about something a bit more durable. Insulator wax def. comes to mind, but I've also used EXP with great results. Just a thought. And by the way the boat looks awesome!
sorry to hear about the bad news. If detailing is still tops on your list maybe switching to a flex might speed up the process. I personally have not used one yet, but hear good things about it.
I have mixed PB's Spray and wipe with spray and gloss and also with QD+. both work great, but I like it with the QD+ a little more. By the way it was mixed 2/3 SW + 1/3 QD+
I've used Souveran, 845, #26, SSII, just got in my fuzion and waiting for the sun, NTX2.0, Natty's blue and white, EXP. I would love to get my hands on some dodo!
If you start with compounding a scratch your removing material to make it look better. If your not content with the looks then you would hit it with some paper removing more material to enhance the looks. Then continue to correct as needed. If you spent enough time just polishing you would...
there is just some scratches that no matter how much you polish within reason that will not come out. A good rule of thumb is if you can catch your nail on the scratch you should start with wet sanding. It still isn't going to come out all the way but is going to darken up a whole lot...
Any way you do it your still taking the same amount of material off. As long as you don't go crazy with the buffer all over the panel prior to wet sanding.
