    Single Stage Paints - Yuk!

Parsippany would be great as I seem to be heading in that direction quite a bit. Unfortunately, I do not have any sample bottles. I'm tying to think if there are some other kind of containers I could use.

Scratched Paint using Clay on SS Paint

Thanks for the response. I'm going to try the Megs Ultimate Polish with the DA. If that doesn't work, I will try the Megs 105 by hand. If that doesn't work, I will try some filler like Megs Glaze. I should have read-up on SS Paints; my bad.

Scratched Paint using Clay on SS Paint

I tried, by hand, using Megs Ultimate Polish. Ok to use with the DA? If that does't work, Megs 105 by DA? Thanks

Scratched Paint using Clay on SS Paint

I will try the polish. Should I use a DA or just by hand? I don't believe the scratches are that deep. That is to say unless scratching with clay goes deep.

Scratched Paint using Clay on SS Paint

I've NEVER scratched the paint of any car using clay. Don't know if the clay was too cold being the temperature dropped into the lower 50s last night in the garage or was it due to being a Single Stage Paint. What can I do to remove the scratches caused by the clay bar on Single Stage Paint...

    Single Stage Paints - Yuk!

I tried to send you an e-mail but you're out of space. I can meet you if you have the time. I live in Sparta, NJ. It's in Sussex County. I would like to purchase some of that Megs 80. Who knows, maybe I'll get another SS job to do.

    Single Stage Paints - Yuk!

Well, that Blackfire Microfiber cleaner worked. No red on any of the microfiber towels. Thanks for the suggestions and links on the Single Stage paints.

    Single Stage Paints - Yuk!

Today, I had the misfortune to work on a Single Stage Paint; in red. My foam pad and mircorfiber towels have quite a lot of red paint on them. I can only hope they come out in the wash. I tired to remove oxidation by hand first; wanted to be very careful. Nothing came out so I went to the...

How do you get "Countries Top Detailer" title?

I brought this up a while ago and my post didn't receive many posts but I'm moving forward with it anyway. There are so many reality show out there; most of them are garbage. I have written to several networks last week to see if they would be interested in having a Detailers Competition...

    Detailing Motorcycles

Well, he sent me a text and asked me for a price. Since I didn't have a price for him, I asked if I could see the bike. I could meet him at my place, his place or the diner; thought I would take the fear out of someone trying to rob his bike. He never replied back. Looks like I lost a potential...

    Detailing Motorcycles

Looks like I missed the section on Motorcycle detailing on this site. My question is how much to charge for a detail? Since I don't know if I'm going to get bikes in the future, what would I need to do a bike? I see the S100 Package offers quite a few items but what else would be needed? I'm...

    Detailing Motorcycles

Well, I got a message this evening asking if I detail motorcycles. My first reaction would be to tell him no but is it difficult to do? What products would I use? Waterless or Rinsless wash? Clean wheels with? Clean seat with? Anything else I should know? I don't know what type of bike he...

Metro Vac N Blo or leaf blower?

I love the metro blower. Helps get to all those areas you know water will eventally leak water out. I know some people use their leaf blowers but they will eventually scratch their car with it. I'm going to purchase a second one just in case. It's a must have in my opinion.

    Carpet Extractor???

I have the mytee and it works great for cleaning the interior. There are times, however, that you will still need to agitate areas with a good Spot remover like Wolfgangs.
