    Foam Cannon presoaks

Got one about a month ago. I use it as a 2 step wash, the clients love it. I spray the wheels down with a cleaner, then white out the car. I use 2 buckets, one with soap and mitt that I use to wash the car. The other bucket is used for the tires and rims. It saves me lots of time because I don't...

    Portable Tents?

I'm not able to get large SUV's under them, but it does work great for smaller SUV's and cars. I'm on vacation the rest of the week, will return on the weekend to post pictures of the setup if thats not too late. Everything else that I looked at that was larger required 2 people to setup.

    Portable Tents?

I purchased 2-9X9 portable canopies from Walmart and stacked them side by side and tape the legs together, which actually makes it more sturdy. They are $49 each. I'm able to set them up alone in 10-15mins. They also have the 10X10 for $99. The 9X9 made more sense to me.

How long should it take for one person....

One of the problems that I have that takes up time is when the client wants to chat with you while you're working. You guys may call me a car washer, but on average, it takes me about 5hrs to do a mid-sized car that is in decent shape. My clients are happy with my work and after all, I'm here to...

Need serious help with my pricing!

I was just using 3-4hrs as an example, but lets say 7-8hrs, my point would still be the same, he's getting too little money for his service.:buffing:

Need serious help with my pricing!

That's a really cheap price. You should determine what your time is worth an hour and price yourself accordingly. If you're spending 3-4 hrs doing one car @ $70, that would not be worth it to me. If you're good, don't sell yourself short. I have a mobile rig, it won't leave the yard unless I'm...

I was wondering if you guys just wash cars as well. I only detail during the week. On the weekends I setup shop in a few local gas stations and just wash cars, $20. This allows me to get new clients for detailing during the week. Since I'm mobile, I can go to their location. Do any of you do...

Very true. Are you mobile, if so, how do you power your rig. I have about 300lbs of batteries and some heavy duty inverters. The pressure washer that I use is 20amps, (2400watts). When I'm just washing cars, I can do about 10-15 before I need to start the truck.
