Hello All,

Hopefully I've put this post in the correct place? Just wanted to introduce myself and what I'm doing. I've started a mobile detail service, "Green Earth Mobile Detail and Wash", yeah it's a long name. If you're wondering how am I green, I don't use gas powered equipment. I have 2 5000 watt inverters and a bank of batteries that get charged from my truck. The pressure washer is electric and the batteries get charged when I drive to another location. I'm in the process of geting this proccess patented. Hopefully I'll be able to get a fleet of trucks on the road, clean some cars, make some money and help the environment. I've just started reading this forum and have already found a good stream of useful information. I'm just getting my feet wet so if I ask what might sound like a stupid question, please forgive me in advance, just trying to learn the business. Thanx in advance

Welcome to AGO.
Sounds like a good set up that you have.

Thanx, the initial cost was more, but it saves me on gas for the generator and pressure washer. I also don't have to worry to much about noise, did I so no POLUTION... :0

Same here. I just have a portable electric pressure washer. Sucks in a bit much of electricity though. I like how you want to set yourself apart from the rest. What a nice way to start a business while helping save Mother Earth.

Very true. Are you mobile, if so, how do you power your rig. I have about 300lbs of batteries and some heavy duty inverters. The pressure washer that I use is 20amps, (2400watts). When I'm just washing cars, I can do about 10-15 before I need to start the truck.

I use my customers' outlets. It's 1400watts (about 6amps) B&D. I offer home service, or they can drop their rides at our shop.
