    How long does sealant/wax last?

Do what makes you happy. It's up to you and how OCD you are about how your vehicle looks. ;)

    Yellow spot on white paint

My guess is bee poop. Don't let it sit on your car's paint for weeks, as it can damage the paint. You could try Mike's method for softening dried bird droppings to help remove the spots. http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/how-articles/23231-how-safely-remove-dried-bird-dropping.html

Meguiars Mirror Bright Automobile Shampoo Review

Since the packaging mimics antique Megs bottles, perhaps the directions with the use of the word glug is what was written on the bottles of yore.

Zero-G Water Hose and Orbit Max Nozzle: Initial Impression

I haven't been on AGO in a very long time. Detailing just wasn't on my mind. My beloved dog got very sick last year and in September I had to let him go. I still miss him terribly. But life goes on. This morning I went to wash my car, only to discover that my cheap hose nozzle had finally given...

Here's my list of purchases... Am I missing anything?

Mike Phillips just posted a review of Solution Finish. I haven't tried it, but it sounds good: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/product-reviews/94333-review-solution-finish-plastic-vinyl-restorer.html

Here's my list of purchases... Am I missing anything?

My Honda's wheel have a machined finish under a clear coat. If yours are that way, you can use the same polish as the paint. You can use APC to clean tires, or I like Tuf Shine's tire cleaner (but it is expensive.) IMO, 303 is terrible for tires and trim; I only use it on the interior. If you...

    Microtex Platinum XL Microfiber towels

It's the camera. All digital camera require something called white balance. In different types of light, especially in shade or under various artificial lights, you sometimes need to manually adjust the white balance control. Digital Photography 1 on 1: Episode 13: White Balance: Adorama...

No, but I have a dog and I can't tell him anything ... I just have to live with (or clean up after) what he does!

Newbie: 2 different car situations: recommendations

Welcome to AGO. Color? The Ultimate products are fine. You can add their Quik Wax to your regimen to boost the shine and extend the protection of the UW. The main thing is to get your kids to not let anything touch the paint ... no more using the hood, roof, and trunk as shelves! That and...

    Stains on new car paint?

Well then I would try a paint cleaner; really, anything without abrasives ... I would try anything less aggressive than polishing.

    Stains on new car paint?

I don't know what the stain is, but did you try to remove it during the wash? If regular shampoo wouldn't remove it, I would try a water spot remover.

Tuf Shine problems with sub-200 treadwear tires

I had some problems with Tuf Shine on new Yokohamas; nothing fancy, just SUV rubber. I suspect Tuf Shine is not the best choice for some brand new tires; perhaps it's best to wait awhile for the mold release agents and anything else to naturally wear off? Anyway, If you want black tires without...

    Need answer FAST !!!

FYI, if you are thinking of sealing, you want to do that before wax. As for timing, as suggested above, I recommend doing a panel at a time; wash, clay, polish, wax and/or seal, but only on the one panel. Then do another panel another day, and so on until you are done.

What products "WOW" you every time you use them?

Recently I had to get something from Amazon, and I padded my order with some glass cleaning towels, the same type as the Zap cloths that AG sells. It's a wonder to me that these water-only glass cleaning towels aren't used by more people; they really do work like WOW.

FWIW, I don't have a garage and my parking spots in front of my townhouse are under a tree.

Still getting horrible water spots from rain...

My vehicle is coated with CQUK, but I use Reload to boost slickness. I've had zero problems with water spots and etching.

Any alternative for suede towel to wipe cquartz

I suppose you could use something else, but the suede towels from CarPro are so inexpensive ... cheaper than most quality microfiber towels ... why not just buy and use the suede ones?
