Horrible things you've seen walking by cars.

Driving thru Oklahoma on I-35 last summer and a lowered silverado passed me on, I'm sure his custom built wooden spoiler on the bed made that bad boy fast. Wish I had pics. Also, flew into Regean Intl a couple weeks ago, found our way to enterprise car rental … they had a couple black BMWs and...

Facebook users start "like"ing our pages

Discovered the same thing - basically 2 for 1 "likes"!! Brilliant post BTW! Anyone who goes to my page just note that I had planned on starting a side business (active duty Army) but the Army had some special duty for me thru the summer in the United Arab Emirates so I'm not able to get started...

Best detailing tools that are not made for detailing

Shaving Brush (for lather)j. Actually my first use for these was in Iraq to clean sand out my weapons, worked better than anything else. When I came home I started using one to clean crevices in the interior of my truck. The bristles are stiff and don't fall out.

    Shop Vac Now at Autogeek!

A little pricey . . . are they worth the extra $$$? I picked up a 6.5hp, 12 gal ShopVac at Lowe's for $30 a couple weeks ago. It was on clearance marked down from $80 and works great!!

    iPad question.

Ditto - I have been working on cutting back on my "digital life" (sure I'm online right now but AGO doesn't count) and enjoy the real world more. Now if I can get my wife put the phone, iPad, and computer down too we will really be getting somewhere.

    Haven't restored many headlights, but....

Those are some good looking headlights!! Hmm, pretty sure I've used that line before but in a much different setting ;) I really think exterior lenses, headlights specifically, really need to look like that for a detail project to be complete. Honestly, put all sorts of time and effort into...

toyota tundra new car detail + opti-coat

:iagree: He should absolutly take it back to the dealership . . . along with one of your business cards! Who knows what that may lead to . . . at a minimum the manager may have you do his car instead of letting the hacks in his shop touch it again. Or it may lead to a teach & train gig for...

    I am a Weirdo

I've been caught "petting" my car too . . . get that look from the wife that says "maybe you should be paying that much attention me mister!" BTW, just found out I get the day off tomorrow :xyxthumbs:. So, unplaned 3 day weeekend + 65 degree weather = first thought to cross my mind "perfect...

    Hello from Joplin,MO

Thanks everyone. Defiantly one of the more welcoming forums I've been around. @vet - I'm actually active duty Army stationed at Ft. Leonard Wood, we have a home near Joplin so I commute on the weekends. Nice see so many neighbors and fellow veterans.

    Hello from Joplin,MO

New member, really enjoying the wealth of information here. For now, detailing is a hobby but looking to expand that into some part-time income. I actually worked at a car wash in college (20 years ago ) and got my first taste of auto detailing. Since then I have always maintained my own...
