    Blacklight & v7

I like BL and V7 but I have a real hard time considering V7 an actual sealant. I really think of it as just a real good quick detail spray with a bit of extra longevity than other quick detailers. I use BL and V7 on my black wheels and the combo does actually make a noticeable difference in the...

    My buddies 2012 Camaro ZL1

Just like the Grand National. My father had an '87 T-Top GN when it was new and I vividly remember the awesomeness of that cars power but how crappy the interior was and squeaky and rattly it was. Which says a lot about just how chintzy everything other than the engine was since I...

Harbor Freight DA Polisher - New

Anyone run theirs with a small size backing plate for 4" pads without added vibration? Got mine the other day and it had no vibration with the stock 6" backing plate. I had a small 2 7/8" wide backing plate for use with 3"-4" pads I tried on it and it vibrated like mad with and without the...

Nice! I'm a sucker for a turbocharged hatchback and those things were essentially the Grand Nationals of the hot hatch world back in the day.

Fixing the Mess from the Body Shop - Subaru BRZ - Mr. Sparkle Detailing Long Island

Nice save! Man it's hard to find real good body shops here on LI. I've used six over the years with varying results. Some came out show ready perfect others have me left with sanding scratches and holograms to buff out. If the good painters would quit moving, quitting and dying I'd just...

    Counterweight for PC DA

I bought my 7336 from Griot's back in the day (must be around 10 years ago now) and it came with the 6" weight and 6" pads and everyone said it was a "must" to have the correct weight with the correct pad back then. I used it like mad for nearly a decade but now it's gotten a horrible vibrating...

    Counterweight for PC DA

Because the original 7336 PCs (I also have one still kicking around from back in the day) needed different weights to run 6" pads Vs 5" pads so based on that he assumed he'd need a 3" weight but there is no such thing.

SON1C Synopsis 48 : Auto Finesse - Lather Car Shampoo Review

The new one just recently came out in the UK, odds are it hasn't even hit the USA yet. If you have lather and are in the USA odds are it's the original formula. The new bottles also seem to have a sticker noting the new formula on them... (not my pic, from a UK review)

Pinnacle GlassWorks water spot removal nightmare.

Glad to hear you got it sorted out. I wonder how aggressive ceriglass and the glass pads actually are? The windshield on my truck really needs to be replaced since it's sandblasted to hell from winter highway driving when I had an hour commute each way to my old job. I'm not sure any...

    Cleaning wheel wells?

Pretty much the same as everyone else.... APC (I use various brands, nearly any quality one will work) Daytona speed master pro brush ( works on my SUV and lowered car with hardly any fender gap where other brushes won't fit)

    Polishing Plastic "Chrome"

I polished the chrome clad (Dodge's fancy term for faux chrome plated plastic) wheels, grill slats and large tailgate handle on my Truck with Meg's D300 on their MF cutting pad with my 3" griots and it got rid of all the water spots and the majority of the scratches with no problem and didn't...

    What's your FAV microfiber towels

Was going to post the same thing. It's $5.95ea direct from the source. The upcharge on towels out there is crazy from some places. There's one type of towel that will go nameless that carry over a $10 upcharge which is just absurd.

The Post a Picture of Your Ride as it Sits Thread

I've had a lot of different cars and different covers over the years and this coverking satin stretch is by far the softest cover I've ever come across. It's made of satin and lycra with a crazy soft fleece lining, it's only for indoor use and keeping dust off. I'm neurotic with my car to be...

Pinnacle GlassWorks water spot removal nightmare.

Could be some aftermarket glass coating or something I guess. For the most part I've always used regular paint compounds and polishes on glass since they aren't harsh enough to actually scratch glass but cut more than enough to remove water spots or any other film or whatever might be there...
