Are there special towels just for cleaning glass and do any of you use a squeegee?

I was a big fan of Stoners until I picked up some Meg's D120. I dilute with distilled H2O and have never looked back. As for towels, I've been using some cheap WW MF towels (12 for $6.00) I picked up from Pep Boys on a tip from someone here on an old thread. The towels were labeled as "drying...

    Griot Closeout sale

+1, thank you. :iagree: Also, don't forget, Griot recently tried and failed to sell product on Shop NBC.

For those that use Microfiber Cleaner (Detergent)

Recently, I've started using Micro-Restore for my mf's with a vinegar rinse. I really didn't believe there was much difference from using something like Tide. I've now changed my mind, since I've been using a mf specific soap, I get most to all of any stains out of whatever was on the mf's and...

    Good spray wax???

I just started experimenting (using) with Chemical Guys P40 Instant Detailer with Carnuba. It's easy to apply, no streaking and is around $40 per gallon. The longevity is only so so, but it is a detailer and if your using it for door jams ... Other than that, OCW and Aquawax.

    Daily drivers and wheel cleaner

For my DD, I've been using Opti's Power Clean at 3:1 and a few selected brushes. On the rare occasions I have any time, I will coat with either a wax or OS on the wheels.

If you were going to use products from only one company

If we're talking about one brand, I would go with Optimum or Meguiars. Having said that, I'm a detail/spray wax junkie, so I do stray. LOL If we're talking one stop shop, then AG for all the usual reasons.

    Drying MF towels your thoughts??

Great idea, I've been using a 4' high shoe rack that my wife broke, same idea as the drying rack. 50 Pair Shoe Rack - Bed Bath & Beyond :dblthumb2:

Visiting L.A. this week - Chemical Guys visit

I can't really add much to the above except to say that since it will be raining, definitely stay off of the 405 Freeway. When it rains in "El Lay" people can't understand how to drive in it. I travel the 405 every day and the drive home tonight is going to be a bear. Considering the weather...

What are your "Go to products"?

My favorite is ONR. It has never disappointed me and has many uses, just don't mix it with vodka. LOL

    Collinite

+1, I also apply by it hand. Apparently, the product does loosen up over time, going from its original soft paste/gel to a thick liquid. I've noticed this happens to my bottle, especially in the higher temperatures of summer. So what I've done, is after shaking the liquefied 845 thoroughly...

Can you Believe this is a Hyundai

+1. Add in Toyota's problems and the timing couldn't be better. I'm not in the market now, but I'd definitely check out the 2011 Sonata. Several years ago, my brother-in-law was stationed in Asia, and when he came back, he told me about the larger Hyundais that he'd seen. I forgot about it until...

+1! I've also used it on the carpets in the house with great results - good product.

New Microfiber washign routine worked out well.

My understanding of vinegar is that it is a soap remover (as already stated), a degreaser, and it lowers the pH level of hard water by bonding to the hw minerals, thus lowering the pH of the water. The problem that occurs is when adding vinegar with detergent in the wash, at the same time. In...

    ONR confusion?

+1. I was thinking the same thing; use the "new" for wash and QD (perhaps), and the old for rinse and lube. The only catch for mixing the two during rinse and wash is that the scents are different, but it won't matter for me, I'm going to drink it or put it on my cereal. LOL.

Can ONR really be used WITHOUT causing marring on black paint?

I also have only good things to say about this product. :dblthumb2: Common sense should be your guide. For me, if the exterior has got an "extra crispy" coating due to the elements, etc., you should saturate or presoak in some form. I also use the 2BM, both buckets w/GG's, using MF mitts...

+1. If not, as wfedwar said, what's the difference between the new protectant and Vinylex, besides the SPF60?

    Microfiber Towel: Buffing and QD

Bunky, good idea for pics. It may be the photo, but my 530s are grey with black piping, which, btw, I have no shedding problems. The towel in this photo looks white w/grey. Did Cobra change colors on the 530s, and if so, maybe the mf material and/or the manufacturing is not the same? Just a thought.

Where can I find some IPA?

On the serious side, definitely, when H1N1 hit the state, parents (and others) were rushing around trying to disinfect everything! The only problem, it's supposedly less effective on viruses. If I remember correctly, the reason why they wipe alcohol on the skin before say, an injection...

Looking at some waxes - need some help

Anytime. BTW, mine didn't link-up either, I had to edit in the forum, so others could find the thread. I tried a couple of searches but didn't find anything on linking. :xyxthumbs:... Figured it out, here's the link: Collinite Thread
