Can you do it by hand?...yes. Do you want to?...absolutely not.

A few more general questions...
I have been cleaning after each section pass...too often?
How much product should I realistically be using after each section pass? 2 pea sized drops...3?
How can I tell if...
I definitely don't have a problem with the performance. I am loving the defect removal ability of these things. Now if only I could get some decent before/after/50/50 pictures...stupid greystone metallic...
Good to know now.
My cleaning process was actually with a brush. For the compressed air I was just commenting based on what I saw in the video. Could be remembering it wrong.
I turned the machine down to 4 when cleaning on the first pad. It flew off while the brush was...
I can not even begin to imagine the sad, bitter existence of someone who does not like cinnamon rolls. It hurts my heart just thinking of it.
Had blueberry pancakes for breakfast and my GF and I went out for Mexican for dinner.
I have used the mothers clay, DP clay, and clay magic. They all seemed to be about the same. I think that unless its labeled as a more agressive clay they are all pretty much the same.
Edit: Guess I should have checked the date of the OP. :)
I guess I will have to adjust my technique a little bit when I get the replacement pads. I will use 2 pea sized drops of product instead of 3 to prevent over saturation. I will also make sure the pad is not allowed to spin under no load at any speed.
The problem I have is that you are supposed to spin the pad with no load when using the compressed air...which is what they do in the video. Following the directions seems like what caused the failure. I was turning my DA down to 4 when cleaning the first time it failed...down to 3 the second...
I contacted them also and got the same response. Sucks that they won't send out new ones until they receive mine. And I have to pay to ship them there...real nice.
For those of you out there having success with these pads...how many cars are you getting out of one pad? Could you explain your...
Now I am just pissed. I went back to work on my car with the 2nd cutting pad from the kit and it just happened again. I even knocked the speed down even more than I did last time to clean it. Now I have a 1/4 polished car and no pads to finish. This sucks.
