Overwhelmed, just a few quick questions

Some thoughts from a fellow noob... First, I should mention that I have not yet delved into machine correction. I've been using the Meguiar's DA Power System, which in and of itself is miles above working by hand. With that being said, I, too was overwhelmed with all of the choices and...

    Care of Nanoskin mitt?

Thanks for the replies everyone! I've been rinsing mine off and then standing it upright on a grit guard to dry, but I wasn't sure if there was something else I should be doing. Thanks again!

    Care of Nanoskin mitt?

I know if you drop the mitt you just rinse it off. But what about routine care? Can it be tossed in with my MF's or do I just rinse it after each use? (I do rinse it off after each panel) Thanks.

    Essential Microfiber Towels?

Seems like you're pretty well covered aside from bumping up your quantity of MF's. BTW should you have any questions on any other MF's, this thread has some good info. :xyxthumbs: http://www.autogeekonline.net/forum/hot-topics-frequently-asked-questions/87927-microfiber-specific-tasks.html

    Waterspots/etch

This happens to me every time I wash my truck. I spray glass cleaner liberally onto the glass( I use Meg's Perfect Clarity) and then lightly run a razor blade scraper over the glass. You can get plastic blades if you're hesitant to use steel blades, and don't be afraid to keep spraying the...

    Product for cleaning windows?

I use Meg's Perfect Clarity Glass Cleaner that you can find at any auto parts store, with a waffle weave towel. Works awesome. Not sure about using glass cleaner for washer fluid.

    Are these the right steps?

Bob, My concern is that the layers of wax have covered up the water spots. Will the decon steps be able to reach the spots? That's why I thought stripping the wax first would be a good idea.

    Are these the right steps?

Back in October I needed to get a coat of wax on my truck before it turned cold and crappy. I wasn't able to do a proper correction. I have some hard water spots that I couldn't remove before waxing. So now that it's warming up I need to start from scratch. My thought was to: 1. Strip...

    Nanoskin questions

First question: For anyone who has switched from a clay bar to a Nanoskin Autoscrub product, did you return to using clay bars? If so, why? Second question: What would the benefits be by using one Nanoskin Autoscrub product over another i.e. wash mitt vs. towel vs. prep sponge? It seems the...

    Iron Removers?

I would imagine that there is some level of iron and other mineral contaminants in every city and town. The only way to know for sure if you can benefit from IronX is to just try it and see what level of contamination you are dealing with. That's the thought process I'm following...once the...

Mike what is the best way to clean my ccs foam buffer pad

Welcome Joe! If you mean after use, saturate with APC and then rinse thoroughly. Or you could use a pad cleaner. Blackfire, Wolfgang and Pinnacle all offer a pad cleaner. If you're talking about while you're working check this out...

I appreciate the replies everyone. Let me just clarify that I would be applying the product on my paint. I wasn't necessarily talking about wheels. Thanks again.
