I am waiting on a 2015 Z06 Crystal Red. Please suggest a good polish to begin.

Any high quality polish and pad will do. What machine, pads, and products are you currently using?

I know you're anxious...
But, IMO, you're kinda putting the cart before the horse.

•The very first thing you need to do is to make sure
that you are there at the Dealership when your vehicle is being delivered.

•The Dealership will be wanting to remove the transit film:
-Tell them you want to be present to observe this process;
and to take note of any damages incurred from the
point-of-assembly to the point-of-delivery.

•Next...Please:
DO NOT LET THEM WASH YOUR VEHICLE!!

OK...Assuming all has gone well and you now have your new vehicle Home:

-Wash/Dry your vehicle
-Decontaminate with an IronX-type product
-Clay
-Use a "Swirl Finder" light source to inspect surfaces' condition
-Approach the polishing processes using:
"The Test Spot" and "The Least Aggressive First"<<<(MP)

Note:
I always polish after claying.
Meguiar's M205 is an excellent light polish.

None of the polishes will work.
You need to send the "Z" to me and I'll do all the hard work!

Absolutely take the steps to avoid the dealership from doing anything anything other than checking the fluids on the vehicle. Arrange that with you sales person or and they will be

happy to see it thru. Here's a pic from when my Challenger came in. Ppl thought I was crazy but that's OK. As far as a polish, I recently used Blackfire finishing polish with really

impressive results.

I agree with all of the above.

From what I've seen in my life it's pretty rare to find a dealership that won't trash a new car's paint in the process of getting it ready for you. :laughing:

Seriously... in the forum world I've helped so many people that have purchased brand new cars remove the swirls.

I've helped people to take their car back to the dealership to make them remove the swirls which usually means the dealership pays an outside detailer to do the work because in most cases, the detailers that work at dealerships can't do the job right the first time so they certainly can't do it right the second time.

I even helped one or two people to return their cars to the dealership to get their money back.

The term I always use to describe the experience is Horror Story.

The actual term for the damage they do is called,

DISO

After you take possession... ANY TIME you take your car back to the dealership you need to read this article and then print out some similar signs and tape them inside the windows of your car. Also let the service write know up front you don't want them to wash your car.


DON'T WASH CAR !!!!!!!!!!!

Point out how nice it looks while the service writer, manager, shop people are standing there next to it because if you don't they won't pay attention and will swirl it out simply by washing it.

This tragedy plays out every day across the United States and then people come to AutogeekOnline seeking help to remove the swirls.

And just to note...

I understand there are good guys that work at dealerships but a lot of the time they have no control over the time, the products, the tools the pads the wash mitts, (everything needed to "touch" paint correctly), so they can only do the best they can do.

I even wrote an article to explain this and I worded it VERY carefully so as to be sensitive to any of our forum members or lurkers that will read this into the future to show them respect.
