    After polishing again I noticed it seemed to appear oil like...so I went ahead and just finished it with some wax and it took away the Smear/string/hologram left over. So I am one happy camper, swirl free in the sun too!!!

    I did not clay it right before but I keep it very clean and smooth(imo). what does it mean to mar the paint? Smear contaminates around your clear coat via buffer? BTW thanks for all the help to a new guy like me!

    I did around 4-6 passes. i did not use a rotary or wet sanding. I used a griots polisher speed 5. LIke I said before my goal was to remove the swirls which I dida good job...Ill try some of the suggestions and see what happens.

    Everything I have read said the same thing, but I just used a DA (w/ MG ultimate compund & ultimate polish, I have not gotten into the professional line yet) and I have crazy vertical holograms going up and down the door....so what did i do wrong with my DA? Its a giots I used white CCS pads...
