Moving from weekend warrior to dealer?

Most dealers around these parts would tell you to go to $50 from $150. It's about what it takes to make it look good to get off the lot and nothing more in dealer lots. Bare minimum in cost and no care what your effort is.

    Ultimate Compound

Most Ford paints tend toward hard. Like a lot of other manufacturers some colors/years are different than others though. You were probably wise in using UP after UC, my experience is that UC finishes alright but it's easy to get tricked into thinking it's LSP ready. Usually an IPA wipe will...

    ~*Menzerna~* best combo cut/Polish? ( Sealant)

Powerlock is a polymer sealant. Colorlock is a liquid Carnauba. As far as Powerlock is concerned I don't know what I'd compare it to, because it's about the easiest on/off of any sealant I've ever used. Colorlock I'd compare largely to something like Meguiars Gold Class.

Yeah, it tends to get your sneakers wet :)

    What's your Day Job?

My company did that, and outsourced IT support to a contractor in India. Company cancelled those contracts after a year with their tail between their legs. They did succeed in breaking the union that pretty much had a stranglehold before, and I'm not sure that that wasn't the master plan.

    What machine to upgrade to?

Curious. Flex makes both the PE14 and the 3403. What are the pros/cons of each? Looks like the PE14 goes slower and is rated for a bigger pad, but is one preferable over the other? A lot of discussion around here over the flavor of the day DA, but precious little about rotaries.

"Throw Away" Microfibers for polish/wax removal?

Yup. Only downside I've seen to them other than the tags youve identified is that you get maybe a half dozen good washes out of them before you question if they should be demoted to door jambs/wheelwells. But at the cost for me it still works. And I think they're $16.99 for 30 these days. Used...

    Another website using my content

If he's direct linking your pictures just change yours with new names and leave your old in the content tree but change them to something offensive. That tends to drive the point home when all your stolen pics become porn pics or if you're taking the high road watermarked with "This work done by...

A 13 year old 911 gets 18 hours of love!

What he's saying is that the center cap logo is a shield. The bottom point of that shield is indexed to point at the valve stem. In your before shots it was correct, in the after shots not. Quirky OCD show car thing :)

    F150 hard or soft paint

Interesting. I have a Transit in Panther Black which is the euro name for the same color and it's hard.

    Chemical Guys Lake Country Pads

Just a FYI, this is Autogeek's site and it's pretty much viewed as a major breach of etiquette to be coming here and asking advice and posting links for stuff bought at other sites. Just saying.

    F150 hard or soft paint

General rule of thumb for me has been Ford has generally hard paint until you get into some of their bolder color tri-stage paints.

How to correct paint on a 85 corvette.

Probably not. If you're even going to consider the corner car wash with the kid with the buffer in the side bay your standards aren't very high. Probably should be glad you lost it. There are two kinds of people that will by an oxidized 30 year old car. First is the one that did because it was...

What type of compound to remove these marks?

Hmm. That's an "I'd have to see it in person to be sure" but the pictures look to me like the clear is compromised.

    Fresh Paint

Out of curiosity, why don't you too? In these days of low VOC paints repairs will outgas for a while. I'd rather keep my repair warranty personally. I have a Kia sitting here that looked like the best repair ever in end of January tha's already had issues twice. I'm glad I didn't dink with it...

tried menzerna fg400 for the first time

Hey, if it works for you by all means use it up! All too hard to buy into the next thing and you have partial bottles of 10 things sitting around.

Finally get to do some work today!

Ha! It only rained because you waxed the car :)

using kerosome is it true ?

Yeah, I'm kind of on the fence on that one too, but not 100% ready to discount it as essentially what's left is a layer of oil which may mask it just like a glaze will. No, it's not going to fix it ever, like it may a waterspot, but it may well hide it.
