    '98 Volvo S70

This car rolled in with 176K miles on it. The owner did the absolute minimum to keep it clean for the past 2 years. Overall, a car with a lot of miles, it was in pretty good shape. It has not been waxed for over 2 years and it showed. Process: hand wash clay (WG Clay and Lube) Meguires...

    Hood scratches/Clear Bra - 1998 Volvo s70

pics coming. owner came and was very excited. car looked great. he was aware of the scratches on the hood. He was amazed how much was removed (apparently it was scratched by a tree low hanging branch or something years ago). Anyway...i am now happy because the customer is more than happy!

    Hood scratches/Clear Bra - 1998 Volvo s70

a "few" of the scratches are RIDS. the others look like swirl marks. I don't think they are coming from me because I am doing a section bigger than the area affected and the other area is smooth as a baby's butt....clean, that is :) I guess I will give it one more go and see if I can correct it...

    Hood scratches/Clear Bra - 1998 Volvo s70

I have been working on a Volvo s70. For a car with 175K miles on it, I think it is decent shape. Even though the car was covered with wax residue, the initial wash indicated (at least to me) there was no wax protection going on. The clay work went pretty well. Among the challenges, there are...

Necessary WAX Prep Steps 3 weeks after detail

thanks for the feedback. I will be sure to do this! Thanks for the response. Question....why would I want to remove the sealant? Ideally, I would want to have the sealant and put the wax over the top. Is the 845 good enough to not require sealant? Still learning...so I am curious to the value...

Necessary WAX Prep Steps 3 weeks after detail

I have a few folks that would like to have Collinate 845 applied to their car before winter. If a detail was done (clean/clay/polish/wax, say with Meguires D/A), what would be the logical steps before applying Collinate 845? I am wondering if I have to basically start over or if there is a basic...

    Miracle Coat?

are the masses really happy with the carPro products? I decided to get some ironX as well as their sealer instead of the Optimum Opti-Seal It seems it gets harder to choose. A few companies have such great products, why not just get their entire product line? Well, I have been leaning towards...

    2010 Subaru Legacy

Today, I was able to detail a Subaru Legacy. It did not look too bad when I got it but the clay proved right away there was a lot of contaminants on the paint. Beige interior...I have to keep reminding myself why I don't like working on beige interiors! Today's activity Hand wash Light...
