It can be used on both types of paint. It is, afterall, a glaze. So it won't have any negative effects on your clearcoat. Just makes sure to buff it off well before applying a wax.

OK. I'll jump in. I don't have much of their product, but I know they make good stuff. I purchased their "Griot's Garage Leather Care Kit". I thought the cleaner did a great job at cleaning my family's dirty seats. So that's my favorite. I also agree to write a review. Thanks.

If your pick is between those two, the Mothers brush is what you want. The CG one is for both wheel and tire. The Mothers one has feathered bristles that make it safer.
