    White Pearl - wax/sealant combo?

Collinite 845 is the gold standard for durability in my book. I use it on my work truck and still see 4-5 months, sometimes more, on paint that's covered in mud and grime 5 days a week. I've used Natty's Blue and Red to good effect. If they're any indication of durability, you'll need to re-up...

    Honda - leather cleaning

1Z Leather Care or Optimum Protectant Plus (aka Optimum Leather Care in 17oz size) would be my choices. Don't really like Lexol products at all. I've got bottles of the cleaner, conditioner, and the 3 in 1, quite unimpressed. Good thing is they're cheap and available OTC though.

Flex XC 3401 Kit W/ Flat Pads?

Ah ok, my mistake on the reds. If it were me, I'd try to get the CCS swapped out for flats. Flat pads simply have a better feel while polishing in my opinion. If you can't it's really not that big a deal. Plenty of people use CCS to great effect. As far as selection, 2 Orange/4 White would be...

Bug Season Is Coming, Looking For Suggestions

+1 on the Pinnacle bug scrubber. Poorboys Bug Squash and Chemical Guys Bug Bugger are my favorites.

    ONR QD/Clay Lube question

I've been using it as a QD quite a bit so far, especially with the crazy amount of pollen this year. I feel much better using ONR than FK425 on a dusty car. That's not saying anything to take away from FK425 (which I love as that final wipe product), it's just I have so much confidence in ONR as...

Flex XC 3401 Kit W/ Flat Pads?

I'd drop the all the reds for additional Orange/White. You can't go wrong with more cutting/polishing pads. Changing pads every panel, while probably not needed, is a very nice luxury to have. :xyxthumbs: Myself and many, many others use blue pads for applying LSP, which is really all the red...

    Another vote for Chemical Guys.

    New Dodo Juice Giveaway

I promise to give a review and want to try out some free Dodo Products that the sweet people at Autogeek.net want to give to me! I'd be more than happy to strip off my week-old coat of HD to sample new Dodo Juice products.

    Whether it's safe or not...

CG CW&C ftw! Just got my bottle of CG citruswash the other day. Hoping it's as good as CW&C simply because it smells like Tang.

How many LSP's do you & what are they?

Wolfgang DGPS - Good all around. Menzerna Power Lock - Shaping up to be one of the top sealants out there. If it holds up as well as WGDGPS and BFWD I'll have a new favorite sealant. Blackfire Wet Diamond - I can't tell the difference between BFWD and WDGPS to be honest. That's not a bad thing...

    How to maintain the Shine

Sacrifice small ani...wait. Really, not much. If you're doing all the above, try blotting the water leftover after the blower instead of wiping. Having a black DD myself I accept them as inevitable and move on.

Body shop hackjob...on my own car.

Few pics I snapped at lunch. I've got plenty of room for improvement with 85RD, just didn't wake up early enough. LSP is Auto Glym HD.

What are the best bang for the buck products?

2nded on the Poorboys stuff. Haven't tried any of the compounds/polishes or sealants though. Megs Mirror Glaze and Detailer Line are both great. Also use a ton of Chemical Guys products. On a side note, did AG carry Chemical Guys at one point, or am I getting mixed up?

Body shop hackjob...on my own car.

Thanks for the replies everyone. :xyxthumbs: I like to keep it wiped down. $300 for a machine, may as well take care of it. It's covered with M105 dust right now though. :bash:

Body shop hackjob...on my own car.

It's been awhile like I said, but I did take my light/camera with me that day. We discussed it and squared up on the spot. Just been too busy to get it sorted lately.

Body shop hackjob...on my own car.

So back in February I took my Mustang to a local bodyshop for some cosmetic work. I dropped it off with the very clear instructions that it was there for the body/paintwork only and I'd handle the rest after I picked it up. When I picked it up later on that week it looked like this: That's...

    My Ek9 meets Zaino

White is a tough color if you're looking for that mind-blowing depth and wetness that darker colors can achieve. I will say that your car is looking good though. I suggest investing in some PO85RD and black pads. Wouldn't hurt to try.

    Holograms on '10 GT-R

I'd say so. There was a fairly in-depth post about the self-healing crap that's going around now. Something about the heat generated from a rotary "activating" the paint. I'll see if I can dig it up.

    What product/ Color pads

845 is very durable. I use it on my work truck for that very reason. Normally I see 4 months of good protection before it's time to re-up. On a truck that wears red clay on a daily basis, I'd say that's pretty good. I can't speak for Natty's or Natty's Red, but I reapply Natty's Blue every 5-6...
