Spring is just around the corner (pollen)

I wish I could. There is no room. A single car garage and a few boxes still in there along with other stuff. Plus it sits outside all day when I am at work. Just not a great situation lol.

Spring is just around the corner (pollen)

It is obvious spring is almost here, I can tell by the pukish green color of my black car. I even wash it, and before it is dry, a light coat is already back on it. These are pre-wash. I don't want to keep dusting it as it seems pointless, but I will still wash at least weekly. I can't wait...

Why Did I buy a black car!

As an owner of a black car as well, while it is a pain, it sure looks amazing when clean. And from a distance, even when dirty, outshines all the other cars around it. That is something that really keeps me proud. My DIRTY black car outshining the other cars around it lol.

    Help...Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

On this same note, is it normal for DGPS to have a little separation even after vigorous shaking? Like mostly mixed but a little yellow oil separate? Mine is like that, but no hard stuff in middle. Just confirming that it is ok.

    thinking of buying porter cable

And anime, one thing you need to realize, is the difference between polish and wax. Polishing is taking off a small layer of the clear coat in order to remove swirl marks/scratches. Waxing is just adding a layer of protection. You can wax monthly, or if you really want, every 2 weeks. But...

    Gunk from wheel balance

Thanks for the advice. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to be a beast to get off. Now I just gotta wait for a day without rain.

    Gunk from wheel balance

What do you guys recommend for getting the gunk off my wheels from the shop pulling off the old tire weights? Would goo gone work? It really annoys me that places just leave that crap on the wheel when they take off the old weights. Would goo gone work? Or what else should I use? Thanks.

    Spot free drying?

What are some reasonably priced alternatives to the CR spotless system and systems like that for spot free rinsing/drying? I would love to not have to spend as much time washing/drying my car that I do so I can actually get more done to it. I also don't like having to break out the leaf blower...

    PO85rd vs. PO85u

85U has quite a bit of cut according to the Menzerna chart, 3. And only a 4 for gloss. While 85rd has a cut of 1.5 and a gloss of 5. I would have gone with 85rd for finishing. As 85u will do more cutting...

    need some guidance on how-to's

To truly get rid of the swirls, you really want to get a PC. I say PC because I wouldn't recommend an orbital for your first machine. But go for a PC 7424, a couple of polishes and a bunch of pads. If you don't use a buffer and some kind of polish/compound you are only covering/filling the...

    85RD...Is it worth a try?

AudiTT I am in your boat. The 85RD is sitting in my cart atm. Along with the Langka scratch and chip repair kit and a 3 pack of blue pads. And some P21s wheel gel to get it just over $95 for the free shipping. Just gotta wait to convince my wife that we really need to spend the money. But I...

    Polishing technique

This thread is full of great info. And on the topic of breaking down SIP and Nano, SIP won't really dust when broken down correct? And with a PC it takes approximately 4 minutes to break down? I just work it up and down, left and right, 2 or 3 times and take my time. When I wipe it off it...

    People slamming doors

that sucks big. I feel your pain. When I park I make the effort to be next to a curb/grass so I only have 1 car to worry about and I even will get some wheels on the grass to get as much room away from other cars as possible. And I do a walk around every time I come back to my car and I pity...

    Doable or not?

And when it happened, did you think about insurance? If you have full coverage, all you have to pay is a deductible. Other than that, it depends on the scratch depth.

    Wife's Car: 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP

Thanks for the advice. I need to get some 85 or 87. Just have to get my wife to let me make another order. But that will definitely be on my next order. In SC. In the Navy, so cars are still registered in MD.
