    Dr. Beasley's matte wheel products

I had a customer this past summer bring me a neglected Mustang with aftermarket matte spoke/web wheels. The picture attached is before and after. The before picture was taken after I had done a high=pressure rinse, decon, and wheel soap scrub & rinse. The stuff was on there. I followed up...

Can I use any sealant over BF One Step?

You can, but you are only making extra work for yourself stacking a sealant on a sealant.

What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I detailed the interior of a mini van.

If you saw my music selection, you'd swear it suffers from bipolar disorder. LMAO.

    Removing a ceramic coating

The coating is only as good as it has been maintained. Cutting/buffing the exterior with a compound will likely remove it. A "water break test" will tell you a lot. Basically, pour water on the panel. If it does not break - i.e. bead, repel, sheet, etc. - the coating is sufficiently removed.

Does detailing suffer from the public underestimating how much work goes into it?

I would agree that, to some degree, people devalue it because "He/she is just cleaning my car". There is a difference between someone who cleans cars and a detailer. The demographic a detailer lives in will also play a part, and then you have detailers that under-value their time and don't...

    Dr. Beasley's wheel products

I had the opportunity to use Dr. Beasley's Brake Dust Remover, Wheel Cleaner, and Wheel Seal on my last detail. Being the tester I am, I like to torture test products. The pickup lives outside all year. I only wet the wheel down with water. No high pressure rinse, or soap prior. After...

    Learn one teach one

Yesterday was a teaching moment for me. I showed my friend and fellow detailer how to wet sand and correct/improve a couple deep scuffs and scratches on his wife’s pickup. I used the Flex Pixie and Mirka 3” sanding discs starting with 2000 to 3000. Then finished correcting with Dr Beasley’s...

    Blackfire pro ceramic coating

In regards to Dr. Beasley's NSP45, 95, 105, and Z1 - just buy them. The engineered abrasives work so well, and the carrier is body-shop safe. Furthermore, the working time with the Dr Beasley's primers and Z1 are almost infinite with zero dusting at all. This is my first rodeo with the...

    Blackfire pro ceramic coating

I received this product as a sample during Mike Phillips’ detailing class in September. I had the time yesterday and today to prep and apply the coating to my bride’s buggy. It looks good. Of course the cordless Flex BEAST and PIXIE with Buff and Shine pads and Dr Beasley’s nano primer 45...

Going LIVE at 5 - Dr. Beasley in the House!

Love it. I am happy to be an authorized Dr Beasley's detailer and supporter of the brand. Jim is a genuine guy, works in the industry, and a chemist. Having the opportunity to speak with him at your three day boot camp in September 2020 sold me on his products. He has been on the ground level...

PPF specific coatings vs “normal” paint coatings on PPF feedback

Check out Dr. Beasley's film coating as well. The benefits of using an actual PPF coating vs. regular coating is that 1. It will not void any PPF manufacturers warranty if applied 2. It's designed to allow the PPF to continue to do it's self-healing with the coating on 3. It flexes/moves with...

Outdoor faucet or adapter for indoor sink for power washer

I have a wash tub in my shop with a threaded faucet that fits a hose. I have attached a quick coupler to it if I want to run a garden hose, or more frequently, my portable washing machine.
