    Man talk about under charging

My favorite is, I'm returning the car I need a detail. Why on earth are you making it beautiful for the next guy while you drove and paid for it to look like crap for 3 years. Makes no sense to me...

    Man talk about under charging

You guys are making me depressed. No way I'd ever work for peanuts like that. I'd sooner flip burgers and not have the overhead or aggravation. I think a lot of it is image perception. And once you go down the discount road it's very hard to come back from that perception. I only market high...

    Ceramic coating for mobile detailing

PBL can 100% be done outside as long as the temperature is not too hot or too cold. I've done 30+ outside with no issues whatsoever. Optimal? No...but the job gets done. I do bring it indoors for the infrared light drying process if the sun isn't out.

    UV/IR curing lights...

From my very limited understanding you only save about 3 minutes using the short wave over the medium. Besides getting hotter faster, I'm not sure the cost difference justifies the short wave purchase which is a lot higher.

    UV/IR curing lights...

I use a Infratech medium wave lamp. To be honest the coating manufacturer recommends using it to cure the coating faster and increase hardness. I have no idea if it's "working" but I do it. You should have at least 2 otherwise it will really slow you down.

Go for the 128oz. Much better value and trust me you'll want more when that 16oz runs out! Griot's has themselves a pure winner here.

Is a coating glossier than an LSP?

So a lot of things go into gloss. Reasons why coatings look so good is because of the prep work that goes into it. Typically because you are doing a full paint correction with multiple stages, then locking it in with a coating, the results appear spectacular. Not necessarily sure if a really...

2014 Mercedes S550 Sad But Happy Detail

Dennis, we need to pour a new concrete floor. The current one is not level & we can't lay out racetrack flooring so I'll be delayed coating the Audi. The fast correcting cream is beyond awesome. Can't say enough good things about it. You got it! And thanks for the best wishes.

2014 Mercedes S550 Sad But Happy Detail

I appreciate the kind words! I usually refuse to ever do a correction if the owner isn't willing to maintain it. In my estimate I go over proper care and sell the buckets, microfibers, etc...if they are committed to the maintenance then we move forward. It's a lot of $$ for the customer and a...

Should I expect to get 100% of surface contaminants with clay?

Typically you can remove all surface contaminants. But you might need a little extra help. Get a bottle of IronX and chemically decontaminate the microscopic metal particles attached to your vehicles paint. You'll instantly see and feel the difference.

    Need help removing Tar

Try very fine clay. DP makes a good one, TarX, or 3M in a can and steam (why not) If it's dried concrete, lots of clay and 2 hours of your time should do it. Oh and a hefty bill!

    Clear bra removal, tips?

No just go slow and glide it gently. Perfectly safe on paint hence the plastic part. Buy a ton of them as they quickly lose their sharpness. If you use clay lube it will allow the razor to glide easier. It will be a bit of a mess but no big deal. Steam will also loosen things up.

    Clear bra removal, tips?

Biggest pain in the butt ever. Especially if it's cracking into pieces. Try steam, clay lube and add a plastic razor blade to your mix. Take your time and go slow. Eventually it all comes off. Man I hate those things with a passion.
