    D151 Lifespan (Applied)?

Does anyone know the average lifespan of 151 once applied? Should I top with Quik Wax to extend the life? I was wondering how long it lasts in typical weather conditions vs cleaner wax. I noticed the 151 doesn't give as slick of a surface of other products and I remembered somebody saying it...

    Mini Polishers: DA vs Rotary

Yeah, seems like that would be a better fit. I imagine if the speed isn't too high, I follow the contours, and it's not in the same place for more than a couple of seconds, I should be safe right?Anyone out there actually damaged paint while using a mini rotary? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A...

    Mini Polishers: DA vs Rotary

That was the other thing I forgot to mention. I don't want to worry about the DA oscillating and banging into the trim, etc, which is another reason I was leaning toward the rotary.

    Mini Polishers: DA vs Rotary

I am currently running the GG 6" and I am in the market for a mini-polisher. I am looking at the Flex PE8 Kompact and the Rupes Mini. Two major differences there are the price and the Flex is rotary vs the Rupes being a DA. I am leaning towards the Flex for the price point but I have never...

    New LSP Suggestion

I guess I should clarify, I am looking for a finishing wax that would primarily be for my black metallic paint and my wife's regular black paint. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

    New LSP Suggestion

So, I have been loyal to Meguiar's for all of my products since the mid 90's. I have a good variety of products in my arsenal for correction but I am looking for a few suggestions on LSP's. I own a detailing business where I have been successful with M21 and D151 for the most part but I am...

    Cold Calling Businesses

Well, I am a one man operation. I guess that would change your opinion on my situation? That makes sense, thanks! I am looking for some steady work for the most part. I have been in business about a year. I know it will take a while to build my base but in the meantime I was looking for some...

    Cold Calling Businesses

I have been keeping pretty steady with new customers through word of mouth, Facebook, and my website. I work FT in the insurance field, so I don't have much time to get out there and cold call. I am going to try and get out there soon and cold call some car dealerships. My plan was to target...

    What made life easier?

I wanted to start a thread for those of you that own a detailing business, like myself. But it also goes for everyone that loves the hobby. I have come across a number of things that have really made my life easier and I wanted to share. I also wanted to get some things/tips from everyone else...

    Switching from Foam to MF

I have been using LC foam pads for a while now. I decided to switch it up and try something new. I am going to pick up a cutting and polishing MF pad here in the near future and had some questions. I currently run a 5.5 inch pad on the GG6" and also 3 inch pads on the GG 6". What I am...

    Interior Upholstery/Headliner Brush

I am currently trying to find a "paintbrush-style" brush that I can use to clean leather seats, cloth seats, and headliners. Specifically, one where I can circularly massage my cleaner in. I have the Lisle Parts Cleaning Brush that I use for tough stains on carpets and engine stuff, but it's too...

    Cyclo Brush to Drill Adaptor?

Picked on up yesterday, it's too big to fit either of my drills. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

    Leather Seat Brush/Pad

I use that from time to time but I have found that the soft grey pad isn't hard enough and the aqua carpet one is a little too harsh. That, and if you don't have it perfectly flat on the surface is stops spinning. What's it's supposed to do obviously but annoying nonetheless. Sent from my...

    Cyclo Brush to Drill Adaptor?

Okay, that makes sense. I thought I was just stupid. I wonder why wouldn't they have both for uses like this?

    Corded Drill Recommendation

That's pretty much exactly what I have, except red. Think I should stick with that one? I haven't tried it yet, kind of worried about the cord but I can always tape it up I guess.

    Cyclo Brush to Drill Adaptor?

I have a couple of Cyclo brushes that I picked up to use with my GG 6". They work well, except that you have to hold the polisher perfectly level or it stops spinning as we know. The problem is, seats and carpets have a lot more angles than do vehicle panels so it doesn't work too well. I am...

    Corded Drill Recommendation

Something like this one? I have an old Milwaukee at home that is exactly like this but the cord is rotted (from the 70's). http://images.drillspot.com/pimages/154/15455_300.jpg

    Corded Drill Recommendation

I am wondering if I should go with a hammer style or not. I am thinking it might be easier to handle with doing wheel polishing and everything else. I am looking at these so far: Bosch 1191VSRK 120-Volt 1/2-Inch Single-Speed Hammer Drill - Power Hammer Drills - Amazon.com DeWalt DW511 1/2"...

    Quality 3" Orbital Polisher

In the same boat. I am using a 3 inch plate of my GG and it works decent, it's just not made for it. The guard around the spindle hinders vision. I wish I could pop it off sometimes or that it came with a slightly smaller one. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk
