Thank you :dblthumb2: You can buy the rust proofing oil spray can but it's not the same as the grease my local shop applies. KROWN and RustCheck are the two major players for rustproofing. The place I go to is called Berrys Rust Proofing (looks like bee's wax).

I remember going to $15-$25 car washes back before I knew anything about detailing. For the money, they weren't that bad if you don't care about swirls. Frequently they have a line so long that people wait over 1hr just for a wash. They also have a store with snacks, drinks, sandwiches, etc...

I was able to easily compound out 3000 grit wet sanding marks with my PC-7424 using hydro-tech cyan pads and M101.

I rust proof the heck out of mine (sprayed inside doors and behind panels). Once it's rust proofed I think its best to rinse as much salt off as is possible. The only negative thing I had happen to me was; my drivers door weather seal froze to the door and tore apart when I opened my door. Now...

Yeah I've done this and it does work very well, but I recommend removing the trim. Old engine oil works as a free dressing too, I use to joke that when I run out of dressing I know it's time to change my oil again (because I use oil based dressings, but not engine oil).
