    6 inch orbitals

Another option, replace the 6" backing plate with a 5" plate and get 5.5" pads on your existing machine.

Differences Between Microfiber cloths and towels

The towels you have are still a needed part of detailing. I use them for interior work. When they get really dirty even after washing they go down a level to door jambs and wheels, then down another level to engine bay and tires, then trash. Paint safe towels are different, most of my paint...

    Need Vs. Want (Newbie Question)

The problem with foaming the car, you still do a regular two bucket wash. I would skip that.

    Need Vs. Want (Newbie Question)

For a normal person just washing a normal car in the drive way don't over think it. Don't get too overboard or it won't be fun and you won't do it. Here is what I would do. Get three buckets, one for rinse one for wash one for wheels/tires. On the wash bucket mark the outside with lines of...

    Carpet and Seat Cleaning

I use a cordless drill on the slower setting on top of the drill. I also have a mcculoch steamer that on sale was $75 or so. If you think you need an extractor for just your cars a spotbot for $100 or less should work fine.

    Cleaning microfiber drying towels

I used to think microfiber detergent was a gimmick, just something else to nickel another $20 out of us once a year. I was having an issue with towels not being as absorbent as they once were and thought what the heck it would be cheaper than a bunch of new towels and it still wouldn't be wasted...

My pads are just stained. I'm ok with that.

    Spot Free/Towel Free Rise

I do a flood before I use a towel. That almost dries the car with water. I swap out my spray nozzle for a short (8") section or hose I cut off a old one. Then rinse the car that way. Works great.

    So Chemical Guys Eh?

I just bought my first CG product, their Matte wrap detail spray. I plan to use it on stripes and tge occasional wrap. Hopefully it was worth the $10 and 25% off

    Empty Gallon Jugs

Really all I want to do is mix some apc and super degreaser in 10:1 and 5:1. I have jugs for everything else. Are you thinking ice tea jugs wouldn't be good for that?

    Empty Gallon Jugs

Fantastic idea on the ice tea containers, my search is over.

    Empty Gallon Jugs

If a guy wanted a few empty gallon jugs where would he get them? I am thinking something more heavy duty than milk jugs, more like what chemicals come in. Thinking like 5 or 6, not a case like uline sells them in.

    Seat Cleaner

My wife is into essential oils. Do you think adding a drop or three to apc or a degreaser would be the same as a orange degreaser?

    Waxing pad

Not always. Unfortunately not all companies follow the same color scheme. You need to pick the brand you want and get a finishing pad. Just to help ensure we are helping correctly though, do you really have a rotary, or do you have a da?

    Help me spend money

Two companies I have found great. 3D HD. I haven't used anything from them that wasn't great, and best of all, the prices are very reasonable. Next is Wolfgang. The swirl remover, glaze, and sealant are easy to use and produce great results. Do you have or are you gong to get a DA?

    Cleaning Seat Tracks

Yep it's a Sienna. They have three kids and a dog, so lots of gunk in there. Lots of qtips did it, I just thought there would be a easier way.

    Cleaning Seat Tracks

Hey all, I am wondering if any of you have a tool that attaches to a vacuum to clean the siding seat tracks in minivans. I did one yesterday that was full of mud and dog hair, and all kinds of gunk. I used qtips and did an acceptable job, just thinking how much easier it would be to suck it out...

How much Product will it take? (Newbee here)

I agree you don't have near enough pads. One black will be ok, depending on the condition of the paint you may need two compound pads per panel. Knowing the budget thing, I would get four and clean on the fly and keep rotating them. Probably four polish pads also. The real problem is you won't...
