    Wax/polish removal

As far as a pad to enhance gloss, there are jeweling pads you can use with a very fine finish polish, (see jeweling techniques and machine speeds in other posts) or there are plenty of choices of products that give a very nice gloss. After a polish I seal with jescar power loc and have always...

    Motorcycle detail

I did a street glide about a month ago, didn't really want to because I've owned and done my own, and I know what it takes, but it was a friend. It took me about 9hrs, he was so shocked at how great it turned out he took it home and refuses to ride it now because he doesn't want to get it dirty...

Poll: Do you wash after claying?

I usually foam soak the car, then pressure rinse, this usually removes anything stuck on surface besides tar or sap like materials. Then I clay mitt with lube and then bucket wash with ONR and dry before machine aio or polish. I had a guy tell me other day I should bucket wash after pressure...

Porter Cable 7424xp wobble, not spindle bearing.

If anyone else runs into this, I've found a solution, for now anyway. The small center shaft in the bottom of the hole where the spindle bearing came out of can be tightened. It doesn't appear like it can, as it looks like a pressed on round sleeve over the center shaft, but I saw what appeared...

Porter Cable 7424xp wobble, not spindle bearing.

So, I dropped my pc after cleaning a few pads, which is what I do with it most often, and polish glass. It developed a major wobble shortly after. I figured the spindle bearing went south. I just got the new one in and tore it down to replace it and discovered the spindle bearing is fine, it's...

Why I'm not and never been a fan of waffle weave drying towels

I usually dry with either the dry me a river or GG's towel, but I got a couple free everest 800 towels to try from the rag company and those are really awesome, those I save for non daily drivers or cars that are not getting polished after drying. I would never have bought them to try, but so...

Fair but competitive price for a wash, and or exterior wash/wax for a Ford F-150 that is black

Hard plastics usually hyper dressing diluted to a semi gloss. I have a bottle of hyper mixed with apc that works great on rubber floor mats... leaves them clean, semi shine without the slippery feel under your feet. It can also be used as a clean and shine on hard plastics like door cards...

Steamer put micro wrinkles in leather seat.

Lesson learned, turned out not the hard way, but the scare of the hard way was plenty. More than financially I was sick to my stomach with disappointment. I truly am proud of my work, my work is what's important to me, making people happy with my work is my primary goal. Honest hard skilled...

You know, I'll admit, I have it, and 80% of the time use it, and these folks were in a hurry to make an appointment and dropped off and ran. Others drop off at night and put keys in drop box I don't get. May have to start demanding the unconvince of ensuring a meet and greet and vif every time...

Happy ending to this story! The owner came with his wife to pick up the truck. He was over the moon happy with the results of the detail, of course I was highlighting all the goodies I threw in extra and the wonderful results of the paint work before we got to the bad news. Finally I said now...

Yes, I never thought about enzyme.. The bad part is the seat looked just fine, I wasn't even attacking a stain or a visible problem, and I couldn't really smell anything but thought at least I'll stream it and disinfect the area. I'll probably be in for a replacement seat bottom cover at least...

Steamer put micro wrinkles in leather seat.

The steamer is a vapamore forza 1000, you can dial the psi down to a low output which I do when steaming seats so I don't get my hand that is binding the towel around the upholstery head. I was working in the same speed as I always have, and done the whole back seat. It was a cotton terry...

Steamer put micro wrinkles in leather seat.

Ok so I'm detailing a 2015 F350, the owners said please focus on the driver seat because their dog had left them a liquidy bowel movement surprise while traveling. They said they cleaned it up as best they could with what they had available on the road. This was about 2 weeks ago. They did not...
