@Mattarbenz. That's great news! Glad it worked out ok and they were nice about it. Thanks for sharing and yea it sure sucks to be in that situation.

The owner said Ahh, it is what it is, kinda hard to see when your ass is sitting on it anyway, handed me full payment, said he'll call to get wife's car done next and his buddies are waiting to see the truck, and he is tickled pink, so they will be calling soon.
I bid him farewell with a handful of business cards and am now having a cold "relief" beverage.

Good to hear.Yes you definitely lucked out and got paid.
 
Lesson learned, turned out not the hard way, but the scare of the hard way was plenty. More than financially I was sick to my stomach with disappointment. I truly am proud of my work, my work is what's important to me, making people happy with my work is my primary goal. Honest hard skilled work that pleases the buyer, the purity of that felt at risk, that's what had me so upset.

Right when you said just in one spot, I figured that spot was cleaned with something else(nothing to do with you). Glad it worked out.
