Valid point. I think I'll give the D302 a shot, with a finishing pad though. Like I said before, I've had problems (very rarely) with the finishing pad leaving a weird, almost hologram-like pattern on soft black paint. I guess, technically it would just be micro marring. It's very annoying...

I get that. It makes sense if your paint is in awesome shape and only needs very light polishing. But, like other guys have already mentioned, if you've already done a ton of cleaning, claying, polishing and an IPA wipe, the paint should technically be laser clean, wouldn't the BL paint coating...

I think this is going to make it difficult for them to sell the BL cleansing polish, since the DP prep polish is twice the size. I will be receiving the BL cleansing polish with my kit, but will probably replace it with the DP version when it runs out. Now, if the BL cleansing Polish works...

That's what they said. I hope it's true. I haven't had a lot of trouble with the previous system, but have noticed that occasionally the finishing wax does not completely clear up the DA haze/marring left by the D300. I'm guessing the D302 and the new finishing disc will solve this problem.

From what I understand, the DP coating prep polish will work as well if you have any of that. I ordered the Black diamond elite kit. I'm going to start offering the paint, glass and wheel coating to my customers. The kit came with the cleansing polish. I almost just bought the coatings...
