    Wash and Wax "wipes"

I have seen the recent commercials for this product. I too was amazed at how they suggested simply and casually wiping what appeared to be a very dirty car with a damp cloth was going to produce desirable results. This is exactly why companies like this won't ever get any respect from and...

Anyone here using a leaf blower for drying?

I've been giving this some thought. It's pretty well known that anytime you touch the cars surface (as in drying with a M/F towel), you are likely putting scratches in it. They may be very small most of the time and not easily noticeable, but they are occurring. As an owner of a black car, this...

Your favorite BLACKFIRE product and why?

My favorite product is the Blackfire BlackIce Hybrid Montan Sealant Wax! Nothing makes my black car shine quite like this stuff! As we all know, thorough preparation and polishing is key to a brilliant shine. When properly prepped and finished with this product it is just stunning. Such a nice...

waxing with chips in the paint

Another option is to gently use a wooden toothpick. As others mentioned, after the wax is removed, fix those chips! In a pinch, there are a couple of waxes you can find at the local parts store that are black in color. This may be a great stopgap until you can make a more permanent repair!

Can I apply Wax after Sealant?

I think applying a wax on top of a sealer is a complete waste of time. How well do you think that wax will adhere on top of a product designed to help prevent contaminants form sticking to the paint in the first place? Some people do top a sealer because they prefer the look of carnuba as...

aerospace 303 vs stoners trim shine?

I used to use 303 aerospace on my tires. In my case, when the product wore of (pretty quickly) it seemed to leave a nasty brown stain on the tire, similar to what "blooming" looks like. I stopped using it.

    Money being no object......

A lot of sensible advice in the responses I have seen so far. This is a very subjective and difficult question to answer definitively. Unfortunately, it will ultimately come down to you just having to go by trial & error. Surface preparation is absolutely key. A well prepped surface topped with...

Blackfire BlackICE ...is it worth the $95.00?

I did get a hold of a small (3 Oz.) jar. Just put it on a few days ago and absolutely love the quality of the shine so far. Makes the Black paint look like its about to drip off the car its so wet. Just hope I can get at least 2 months worth of this look before any significant diminish in that...

Blackfire BlackICE ...is it worth the $95.00?

Well guys, I can now answer my own question with a resounding YES! It is indeed worth the money. I just applied a coat of Blackfire BlackIce on my Black Challenger SRT8, and it looks stunning. A truly "wet" looking finish with a fantastic radiant carnuba glow! From an "appearance" standpoint, I...

Blackfire BlackICE ...is it worth the $95.00?

Been reading up on Blackfire BlackIce wax. The hype is impressive. Have also seen positive reviews from a few years back. Any current users of the product care to comment on its performance, compared to the advertising claims? I do realize the subjectivity that can come into play on this sort of...

Anyone have experience with Finish Kare Hi Temp Paste Wax?

It does seem to posses an interesting quality in that it is listed as a "High Temp" wax. Here is what my experience with many, many waxes thus far. Particularly in the summer. After thoroughly polishing and prepping my cars surface, I apply the wax, allow it to set up and buff. Looks...

Hey guys, My apologies. It appears that I may have made a mistake and posted something I shouldn't have. I can't seem to figure out how to edit a post. Can someone point out how to edit a post so I can correct it?

What are the pros/cons of "low profile" polishing pads?

I get some 5.5 inch pads from a local supplier here in Las Vegas. Gloss it is their name. That's also where I got their EVO 21mm machine.

What are the pros/cons of "low profile" polishing pads?

I currently have the GG 6" DA and a 21mm from another manufacturer. Will be getting the BOSS 15mm fairly soon.

What are the pros/cons of "low profile" polishing pads?

I plan on trying some "low profile" pads but was wondering what the pros vs cons would be. I would be using them on a Boss 15mm DA. The vehicle is a well cared for 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8...black! I consider myself to still be a novice with machine polishing. Your thoughts...
