NEW! DP Paint, Wheel, & Glass Coatings + Coating Prep Polish!

I am not Nick. I only apply coatings. Your best bet is to forget traditional LsPs. Your customers will love the look and durability of a coating. IME a wax or sealant will attract dust and dirt a coating wont. Bring them back for a freshen up with CarPro ReLoad or Sonax Polymer Net Shield. These...

NEW! DP Paint, Wheel, & Glass Coatings + Coating Prep Polish!

If these products are comparable to others from standpoints of performance and coverage (ml per meter squared), the cost per application will set a new standard! These could be the UWW+ of coatings! Is there a trim coating in the works too?

What is your favorite wash mitt and dry towel?

I prefer plush MF for wash. The best I have tried is a Microfiber Madness Summit, 800g The Mothers foam core drying MF is by far the best for me ever. I do mostly rinseless after washing wheels and hosing down the car. I then drive it into my air conditioned garage for rinseless. I pre treat...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

Same power as V2. They redesigned it ergonomically to put controls in the right places. Looking forward to your impressions. I sold my PC and my Megs G110V2 and bought two of these. I have no regrets!

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

The new GG is by far the best consumer grade I have tried.

recommend against newbies using rotary buffer?

I agree 100%! The Dynabrade RO Head turns a rotary into a RO or a Forced Rotation (61384 model). Take it off and you have a rotary too! All 3 types for ~ $100 plus the cost of your choice rotary.

recommend against newbies using rotary buffer?

I own a FLEX. I haven't tried a RUPES. It doesn't have a learning curve like the FLEX. The FLEX would be more versatile since you can get the Lake Country BPs and use 4" pads 5.25 or 6+ pads. Both serve different purposes for me. The Dynabrade is my choice for large horizontal surfaces. The FLEX...

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

I don't think you will have any trouble. I would try it on the Makita first.

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

Hell yes! There is no comparison! I use 6" MF pads to cut.

    Dynabrade random orbital polisher kit

I bought the Dynabrade rotary and RO head as a unit. The head weighs ~3 lbs. The DB rotary is a beast and weighs in at 9.5 lbs. It is a very powerful rotary! I love the big stroke. I bought a 14 mm head for my 4.2 lb. Festool and a 5/8" for my Hitachi. These heads will cut if you have a strong...

    Looking at the GG DA

I got the GG3 shipped for $118 total on Griots last sale. That is a big cost delta over a FLEX or a RUPES. It will serve you well after you get a FLEX or a RUPES. It is my favorite consumer grade DA!

    UWW+ question

Very sound advice! BTW 16 Oz yields 5.5 gallons! There is no better value in detailing products. 1 Oz makes 3 gallons of rinse less as well!

    Looking at the GG DA

The new GG is a significant upgrade from the last generation. Ergonomically and power wise, it is much better than a PC. I would go for it, but I have a polisher fetish!

    Aquawax / Opticlean II

It is fine to use Aquawax over any WW or rinseless. I don't experience marring with UWW+marring. I am curious why you have.

I recommend the new GG. They put it all together this time. Fixed all the ergonomics and is much more powerful than the others. It has the best warranty too!

    Opinion: Best MF Pad

I have tried Megs, Optimum, LC and next is the new Buff & Shine. Megs has fixed their failure mode, i.e., pad shear. Optimum is good. LC is a great pad, but wash them or blow with air before first. They shed loose fiber like crazy if you use out of the bag. I haven't tried the Buff & Shine yet...

recommend against newbies using rotary buffer?

I have more polishers than sense! I have 3 rotarys, not counting the DynaBrade. I bought it for large horizontal surfaces. I have a 3401 and a Cyclo for vertical surfaces. I also have the 3rd gen GG and the Megs g110 v2. It is by far my favorite for horizontal panels. I have donne vertical...

    Best clay alternative

I love the CarPro PolyShave. Put it on a DA and set to low speed. Lube as usual and you will be amazed!
