I do my usual wash routine and then shoot some spray wax on a MF towel while the car is still wet. I wipe down the entire car adding more wax when necessary continue to dry it like normal. At the end the finish is covered in a haze and I just buff it right off. I know it's not as resilient as...

At least it looks like that fender took most of the damage! Would be way way worse if it damaged the frame or door, etc! Sorry to hear. I know I'd throw a big fit if that happened to me. I flipped out when I got a chip in the windshield of my last car. Can't imagine this! GL man.

The mesh is hardly ricer. Something as small as that can serve a practical purpose protecting the radiator and other engine components from rocks, bugs and various other road debris (depending on strength of mesh).

Ouch man, that's why I'm skeptic to wetsand! You could try some colored wax or something in that area to help cover it up...

If I were you, I'd rock them how they are for now, and then once they start to get bad have them repainted.

Older thread, but looks good man. I need to do this to my girlfriend's GSX, but we're not in a huge hurry because hers is silver, haha. Hides EVERYTHING. Stupid thing looks cleaner than mine after I've waxed the crap out of it just because my car's black.
