3" or 4" Backing Plate-What is More Practical?

I'd go with 3" simply for the fact you can use it with 3" and 4" pads. 4" would obviously would only work for 4". :)

microfiber 12 pack for rinseless washing?

For rinseless I think it would be okay, but for washing only. I'd use a quality towel for drying. For waterless, no way. All just my opinion.

Which 4 inch pads to buy?

If you don't mind dropping to a 3" backing plate, I LOVE the CG Hex Logic self centering 4" pads. The LC 3" backing plate fits perfectly. I wish AG would start carrying these! (I can take pics if you want to see the fit) If you want to stick with AG, I also really like the Megs 4" pads.

    What pressure washer?

Yeah, Karcher. Sorry about the confusion. :) If you search around they seem to be going for $450 ~ $490 so $320 seems like a great deal. I also wonder how it'll hold up. We'll see.

Did first buff for a dealer - any way to cut price down???

You did a great job :dblthumb2: Only 2.5 hrs is awesome No way ,personally, I'd go less than your original price (unless you're hurting for business I guess) What happens when it's a big SUV or something, do they still expect to pay only $50? If I were a customer I'd be tickled shitless if...

    What pressure washer?

"The commercial grade brass pump is designed with non-corrosive, tempered steel pistons, and is the only self-priming pump in the industry that can siphon from standing water or a collected water source." Nice!!! Thanks!

    What pressure washer?

It seems to me that a lot of people use a way overly sized tank filled with enough water to create a little more pressure to increase the flow. I'm too scared to try it though. I've also seen some building a 4" or so platforms for the tank to lift it up getting a little bit more help from...

    What pressure washer?

FWIW: Here is a 3.3GPM on demand pump that is 115v AC. That way there is no need in figuring out a 12v supply with enough amperage: SHURflo Industrial Pump — 198 GPH, 115 Volt, 1/2in., Model# 2088-594-154 | Utility Pumps| Northern Tool + Equipment Hope the link is okay since it's not a...

    What pressure washer?

I'd like to know as well what PWs can draw from a tank (electric or gas). I'm about to get an Everflo on demand pump, but would prefer if I didn't have to. I was going to go with a custom PW setup and mount it to a skid, that is: Predator 7HP engine $99 from Harbor Freight and extremely...

What pad colors should I buy for Megs Ultimate Compund/Polish?

Re: What Buff & Shine pad colors should I buy for Megs Ultimate Compund/Polish? Orange is nothing to be afraid of at all. Depending on the amount and severity of your defects and the end result you wish to achieve, you might be kicking yourself in the arse for not having something aggressive...

What pad colors should I buy for Megs Ultimate Compund/Polish?

Re: What Buff & Shine pad colors should I buy for Megs Ultimate Compund/Polish? If you're set on 5.5" B&S then I'd go: Orange = UC Green = UP Black = Wax if you decided to use the machine

    Meguiars M100? (not M101) what's this?

Nice. Already have M101 preordered and at M100's price point I might as well get both and compare side by side.

    Meguiars M100? (not M101) what's this?

So it looks like I was wrong about being an MF formula. M100 Pro Speed Compound is designed to be an economical, fast cutting compound for use in body shop environments with a wool pad on a rotary buffer. It offers fast cutting with minimal swirl when used with this tool/pad combo, at a very...

    Meguiars M100? (not M101) what's this?

Don't forget D300. So far I have a feeling this is just a body shop safe D300 (MF formula). Time will tell. Ha! That's too funny! Can't wait!
