I've got this on a two year old Discovery that i valet. got a felling that the guy that did it before i took it on was using some heavy duty TFR, its really damaged the trim.

Paint gauges are an interesting quandary really. I spend £300 on one and they still say it's only accurate to within 10 microns. Add to that the fact that ambient temperature will cause the paint to expand or contract depending on whether it's a hot or cold day. Then throw into the mix the fact...

I've handled both brushes, i wouldn't say I've used them. I think they're both overpriced so didn't buy either of them. i also deal with a significant amount of 'old' leather, so prefer to use a slightly softer, more forgiving brush. that way you reduce the amount of wear caused by cleaning...

it was actually just the block i was pointing out, you can get a variety of paper grades. this one just happens to come with 5000 grit. sorry, i should have made that clearer :xyxthumbs:

its really just a shoe polish brush tbh, albeit a very nice one :D

these are great for those types of sanding jobs 30mm Sanding Block for Spot Repairs with 5000 Grit Papers - Elite Car Care it allows you to be much more accurate that using a sheet.

just as a matter of interest, one thing you do need to be careful of when using glazes is UV damaged paint. reds and blacks in particular can end up looking extremely patchy as a result of some areas absorbing the glaze more than others. i had an absolute mare with a 1988 Audi Quattro just...

they're about as much use as a chocolate teapot in my honest opinion. if you're gonna foam, buy a decent attachment for your pressure washer. the foam lances that fit onto a hosepipe just aren't in the same league. i gave away the one i bought a couple of years ago
