    Is a Glaze really Important???

[I was told after the polish I should use a glaze and then IPA wipe (or equivalent) then sealant and wax.] thats bonkers. if you used an ipa wipe down after using glaze you'd just remove the glaze again. whoever told you to do that is a pillock lol i dont glaze before sealant, but i aways do...

so i tackled the interior this morning. i'll apologise now for the photos, i was working indoors and the iPhone just didn't cope very well with the light levels. id hoovered her out and given everything a quick wipe over last week, but today she got a deep clean. products used were: DJ SN...

Scholls S3 Gold Compound vs UC

Superb work bud :dblthumb2: I really rate scholls polishes in general. Their S30 and S40 finishing polishes are fantastic, especially if you have 'unforgiving' paint that's prone to holograming. S17+ is my 'go to' for most occasions, it finishes down beautifully and will tackle issues with all...

for those who use a foam cannon/gun...

Depends how dirty the vehicle is. If it's been off road then I'll pre-rinse to get the caked on mud off and from up inside the wheel wells etc. otherwise, I just foam straight away

Scholls S3 Gold Compound vs UC

Scholls S3 Gold is a great one step compound. its a diminishing abrasive, so the longer you work it, the finer the compound becomes. initially it is quite aggressive as compounds go, it will remove 1500 grit sanding marks, but if you switch to a finishing pad, you can run it right down to a...

    Son1c protobead on a jaguar XK150 S

this was bought in concourse condition some years ago, but has sadly been let go. today was an exterior valet with a polish and wax and a quick once over inside. I'm back next week to spend some time cleaning the leather interior, which is pretty mucky. in fairness to the owner, at least he...

Miscible and Immiscible - Wax and Paint Sealant Bonding

its certainly an interesting read, but as i have said before, i believe there are significant differences between waxes and sealants that are being overlooked. In point of fact, the statement made by the meguiars chemist refers only to waxes, he makes no mention of bonding with sealants...
