I use them very sparingly on interiors. Not as a general cleaner but as a tool to remove stubborn spots only. Like dengood1 said, be careful. I wouldn't use them on wheels.
Hmmmm, my guess would be different answers because of the confusing naming conventions used by Menzerna. The first time I read through your post I wasn't sure if you meant Micro Polish or Micro Polish... (see what I mean?). I bet one answer was based on the comparison of Nano (106ff) and...
What year did MB switch to ceramiclear?
I did an 03 e500 last weekend with WG TSR 3.0 and had no problems removing some moderate to severe swirls with the Flex and an orange Cobra cross grove.
Yes, I'd wax it... I'd polish it if it needed it, many, most, new cars do. There are tons of threads on here about how to prep and care for a new car. Search is your friend. ;)
I was completely under-welmed by the WG QD (the old quick detail spritz, I haven't tried the new spray sealant)... The perfect compliment to Souveran Paste is Crystal Mist for a true QDer, or Souveran Spray Wax as a booster after washes.
DP final gloss is also a nice QD wax booster for less money.
That's exactly what I would expect would happen... Yes, there are a lot of paste waxes out there that look "close" or "similar" to Souveran... and No, even though the wax costs more than twice as much, it doesn't look twice as good... but still, if you're like most, you won't be satisfied...
I guess in that case I'd base my decision on color (if I couldn't try both)... AW gives a "shinier" look in my opinion (sealant) and Souvern gives a deep wet look (wax)...
If you want "protection" toss CM from the equation, it's not going to compete witht the other two - it's more a QD as apposed to a spray wax or a spray sealant.
Will this be your ONLY LSP or is this just a "booster" between using another wax/sealant?
I absolutely love both Souveran Spray Wax...
I've read this (bolded) before and am wondering, with so many of us topping every sealant on the market with a wax, are we all just removing the sealants??? Even if fully cured (cross linked)?
No, this isn't the wipers streaking... this is film (looks similar to water spotting - hard to describe) that's isn't visible when the windshield is dry. It's most noticeable after the wipers pass over and the glass is still wet but not rain spattered.
Ok, so about a month ago, while driving on I-20, an 18-wheeler threw a rock and I ended up getting a new windshield. :(
The new windshield seems to have some sort of oily(?) film on the outside that I can't seem to get rid off. It's only noticible when it's raining and I turn on the wipers...
:welcome:
Welcome to AGO!
As far as your first question, yes, you can polish under door handles by hand. I like to use the WG pads (gray foam on one side and orange on the other). I think you have the order reversed though. Start with XMT 3 or 2 (if needed) then "finish" with XMT 1.
I've wondered that myself... With all of the suggestions to make KSG easier to use, spritz with water, WOWO, etc., you have to wonder what effect there is on durability and protection.
Ok, so that wasn't an answer at all, sorry. ;)
I agree with everyone about "new" paint usually needing some work and will second the opinion to consider a sealant rather than a beauty wax for this... I take care of most of my family (and family-in-law's) cars but don't have the time (or access) to do a weekly wash and monthly or even...
