Hi Guys,

New to the forum and wanted to introduce myself and also thank everyone that particapates here because I can tell I am going to get some quality tips. I am new to doing this professionally, but things are already pretty busy. I have always done friends and family cars with great results but never really had a challenge with paint correction. I am looking forward to working the business the best I can. I actually own my own Real Estate Company, but it has just become so boring and I need something new so I figured this would be something nice to get my mind off the everyday grind of business. I thank you all in advance for help and insight I will get from the forum. I have my first Real Client tomorrow with a 2001 Mercedes c320 with Amethyst/Blue (Purple...lol) Paint and it looks like the last person to detail it had no idea what they were doing with a rotary. I will post pics ASAP. Have a great day!

P.S. One Question right off the bat....I noticed the area behing the door handles is really bad. Would I just hit that with xmt by hand and if so should I just start with a xmt#1 then xmt# 2,3?

:welcome:

Welcome to AGO!

As far as your first question, yes, you can polish under door handles by hand. I like to use the WG pads (gray foam on one side and orange on the other). I think you have the order reversed though. Start with XMT 3 or 2 (if needed) then "finish" with XMT 1.

:welcome: Good luck with your new business. :iagree: with what Makdaddy said. Also, XMT #1 or XMT 360 should work under the doorhandles.
