    IK Foamer for rinsing?

Backpack sprayer. Some have enough pressure to reach up in to trees, so should be enough for a final car rinse. A la the "spot free" final rinse at the car wash. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Husqvarna-4-Gallon-Plastic-Tank-Sprayer-with-Shoulder-Strap/1000092467 But how many gals of distilled...

Just picked up a sweet Stressless recliner with some miles on her. How do I take care of Aniline Leather?

We own several pieces of leather furniture by American Leather and they recommend the use of Guardsman leather care products. It's the only thing I will use on this furniture and I have been very pleased with the results. Leather Care and Protection Products - Guardsdman You definitely want...

    1995 Mercedes Benz S500 Coupe

Chalk up another one for da Sizzler ! Really nice "save". I like that era MB. Nice, simple, clean styling, and well-built. Ultimate highway cruiser for sure. And don't see a lot of coupes.

"When Mike Phillips Talks, People Listen" ...

"When Mike Phillips Talks, People Listen" ... Apparently Mike has channeled the legendary E.F. Hutton and become a real OG "influencer". Remember back in the early days of the pandemic when Mike posted about glove usage, incl. at gas station pumps ? Well, somebody musta been...

    Polishing damage?

My first thought as well. No doubt. But perhaps the OP could use this to his advantage (see later in this post). This unfortunate "accident" highlights a problem that "Joe Public" (ie. an enthusiast, not a detailer) faces when trying to choose the correct product for their application...

Another BMW M3 Get's ready for Spring

Looks new to me, nice work ! And D4510 is the bees' knees for these PITA honeycomb grilles. If the designers were forced to detail a few of them, they'd disappear from vehicles real quick.

Forum Nicknames - I still don't get it?

So did you petition the OSU Super Computing Dept. for access back then (as it was the only way to get online) ? I was one of their first 50 applicants. You got 5 hrs. of access time per week. Connection was achieved via a 2400 baud modem and you needed a terminal emulation program like...

    Military Marker

That's most likely a patina that bronze develops as a result of oxidation, and is protective. Now if that "patina" were green, that would signal something much more corrosive is going on.

Forum Nicknames - I still don't get it?

FYI, Cadillac melded the name of the legendary lost city of gold in to one word and then used it to name the new model they created to celebrate the golden (50th) anniversary of the company.

1969 Pontiac Grand Prix Megs #7 rub down

Everybody's got a favorite car that they wish they had kept, the '69 GP SJ I owned (2nd car ever) is one of those for me. Those cars were pretty quick for their size, but then again the optional 428 was something like 375HP. My favorite part of the car though was the wrap around driver's...

A special trip and visit! Rev's Institute Car Collection

Thanks for all the great pics, Scott !!! :props: Lots of great cars there, but for me, the Gurney Eagle stands above them all. Great car by an even greater man. Everybody always thinks of Shelby as the quintessential American "car guy" but Dan Gurney was the real deal, both in and out of the...

    Black plastic trim

Yes to the pilllars. And do your headlights & taillights while you're at it. Also I'll add here that whatever trim (etc.) you are coating, proper surface prep beforehand is key to getting the full benefits from the product ... you especially want to make sure the surface is free of oils, etc.

    Advice on drying towels needed!

There you go. AG usually has a couple big MF sales per year. Or another way to snag a good deal on a PFM is to buy one of the ones in the AG Outlet store (ie. already discounted) the next time AG has a 25% off sale. That's like a double dip of savings ! :awesome:

    Advice on drying towels needed!

Hmmm, that's interesting. I use the "matador" method with a PFM to dry the hood, roof, deck lid of our vehicles and I've never noticed any "grabbiness". You would think that that drying method would be especially sensitive to any "grabbiness". :dunno:

Taping off for polishing - Picking up glue

Totally makes sense and is akin to how you would tackle painting a room, for example ... cut in all the trim, etc. with a brush, then bring out the roller for the big stuff.
