    Vacuum Question

I have heard great things about the metro vacs but i think it really just takes time to get black perfect. I use a 6.5 hp shop vac personally. It has done everything i could ask.

Setting up the PC few questions before starting!!

Remove the black cover from the backing plate threads. There should already be white washer on it. Put the smaller thicker washer on top of that and thread it into the polisher. Tighten with the included wrench and your ready to polish.

car is getting fresh paint one more question

I would go with a CC. I would think it would stay looking better longer with the proper washing techniques since you wouldn't have to worry about oxidation.

    Another 4'' pad problem

Ok. Well Meghan has gotten me all taken care of. She contacted Lake Country and they had never had the problem before so they want the pad for testing and will be sending me a replacement for the faulty one. You wont get any better service than right here at Autogeek. Put me on the list as...

Advance Swirl Remover or Total Swirl Remover?

From what i understand TSR has the most cut and would win all of those categories above. I have not used ASR but i have used TSR and i really liked it.

    Am I waxing correctly?

With weekly washes followed by spray wax you should easily be able to get 3 months of protection. I would just use crystal mist as a light dust remover but remember that if the car is too dirty you risk inducing swirls.

    Sealants then Wax

Im not sure if this is the kind of advice you are looking for but if you polish correctly and remove all swirls then use a fine finishing polish such as xmt #1 or wolfgang finishing glaze a true glaze with no correction does very little for shine and can reduce the durability of the protective...

    Am I waxing correctly?

How often do you wash? If you are using the spray wax once a week or even every other week you should be able to see at least 2 months of protection and shine before you need to rewax. Probably closer to 3.

    Another 4'' pad problem

Here are a couple of pics. As stated before first time to be used and only with 4 passes. This is after a thorough wash and been setting for 2 days so its not going to regain any more shape. P.S. Sorry about pic quality. My camera is a piece...

    Another 4'' pad problem

I don't want to go complaining to Autogeek about it if it is something that is normal but i also dont have alot of money to waste and this was my last order i will make until next summer. Should i Pm Meghan about this?

    Another 4'' pad problem

I only used the weight of the machine on vertical surfaces and light pressure on horizontal since it was just finishing polish and jeweling. I used the amount the pad collapsed with just the weight of the machine to serve as a guide for how much pressure to apply also. Could this amount of...

    Am I waxing correctly?

Liquid Souveran should give great protection for at lease 1-2 months. Souveran spray wax after every wash would be just like using a quick detailer after every wash (Crystal Mist) but it will give the wax more of a boost and keep the protection up much longer. If i was you i would invest in...

    Another 4'' pad problem

I saw someone post about their 4'' pads caving in. I have the same problem with my pads that i just got in. They have the velcro all the way to the edge. My white pad it badly caved to the point im not sure if i can still use it. This was the pads first use and i only did 4 passes with it and...

    Question

Like Emile said, you want to use a sealant for the durability it provides and if you decide to not use a wax on top you can keep it shining and well protected by using a spray wax such as Aquawax after every wash like sal suggested. Don't let everyone fool you into thinking you have to add a...

    Quick Detailer Question?

Spray and Wipe would be a great choice. Also if you are just looking to remove bugs from the front and not QD the whole car you might look into Poorboy's bug squash. It is great for quick cleanups when diluted and seems to not affect the wax too much.

Found white paint on my black car!!

What did you use to try and remove it? You can buy the meguiars smooth surface clay kit from walmart or any auto store and clay it yourself. There is nothing too it and if you have trouble there are plenty of guides and videos on this site to show you how. About the scratches... If you don't...
