    Which pressure washer?

They only cost between $100-$200 so the price difference between that and a good gas option can be pretty large. I do have a gas PW as well but I don't use it for detailing just home tasks (like when I had to refinish the deck). PSI on the AR I have is 1800 PSI at 1.6 GPM. They make attachments...

    Which pressure washer?

1.3-1.6 GPM is low GPM. With electric pressure washers I see them as low cost replacable items that will break. It's better to be able to return something for free replacement 5 times in 5 years than to pay more have it break in 5 years and not be able to return it for replacement. If it were...

    Which pressure washer?

So long as it was under your membership they should be able to pull up the purchase in their system without receipt. I've done it more than once.

    Which pressure washer?

Most pros here use Karchers or AR's not specifically designed for commercial use because they are easily portable and not loud enough to wake people up on early morning jobs not to mention low cost and easy to replace free of cost at costco. Having to replace something every year or so free of...

    Which pressure washer?

That's why you buy it from Costco with the generous return policy.

    Interior I feel like crying

Not to get off topic but the condition of that interior is a hygenic issue not a materialistic one and stability comes from living on ones own and having their own ride. I was just teasing. I hope you get it cleaned up though and can post some after pics.

It's clear he hasn't had a date in quite awhile.

    Which pressure washer?

Go with an electric if it's just to wash the car. If it's to do decks and such go with the gas option with higher PSI.

    Interior I feel like crying

If you had said "because it's my mom, the woman gave me life and that is worth more than I can give back" or "It will provide the most impressive before and afters possible" I'd totally back your decision. As soon as my leg heals I will be doing a full detail on my mom's 97 Neon. It maybe...

Whats a good portable pressure washer?

I'd stick with the Karcher or AR Blue Clean options. Buy from Costco for easy replacement when they die and not have to worry about running on batteries. Electric pressure washers are far from big to begin with.

    Has this happened to you?

If you tried to sell her on a package with wipedown and she refused then I guess she was just one of those people looking to get something for nothing. Do you use Mike's VIF form for your clients at all? It could avoid some issues like this as they have to sign off on what they are getting...

    Has this happened to you?

Sounds like a lack of customer education to be honest. By that I mean it was not made clear enough what was being provided and what was not. For what you had to contend with though $40 is too low. My packages are listed side by side and each of them list dash wipe down and protectant. If you put...

That's...only...a week...and a half...of...mess? My brain cannot compute this. Does she treat the house the same way? I try not to judge but dang that's disgusting.

    Carpet cleaning

Yes but spring for the proheat version IMO. A few people have posted before and afters here using a LGM if you dig around. The shop vac left the carpet more wet for me and I don't like that idea at all. The LGM works well it's limiting factor can be the size of tank though it takes some patience.

Blah the removal of those are a pain in the butt, theres like 30 clips a couple bolts and 6 screws to pull it. The other guys are right, it's more time efficent to use small attachments and compressed air. That's one dirty interior dang.

It might be worth trying a little green machine on that. Before I got my aztec hotrod it did the trick quite well.

What kind of vehicle is it? If you are pulling the seats it is usually only 4 or so screws to pull a middle console.

    Mobile Detailing Business - questions

Think of it like this: Someone is willing to pay you a decent amount of money to detail one of their primary investments (vehicle). A few cents of power and water is rarely a concern for someone paying a premium for professional service.

just got my wheel woolies...now disappointed ....

That's highly likely. Much like the MTM foam cannons that get sold under various names. I looked on one of the Canadian sites and it just says "soft, dense carpet fibers". That makes me pretty curious as I bought my set quite awhile back in the US.
