Interior I feel like crying

I use the CG leather cleaner a d conditioner just hate that it leaves a greasy feeling......no matter where I sit afterwards I feel like I am slipping away

Why clean it?

That's an honest question, not a joke.


Even if by some miracle you get it completely clean, it's only going to look just like that again in a month. When anything gets to that point, the person that let it get that way clearly has a larger problem that needs addressing first.

My humble advice, get your mom involved in the cleaning process. If you do it for her, it'll go right back to being a health hazard.
 
True! But to be honest I should also be keeping up in the maintenance since I use that car on my dates too. I am going to start cleaning it weekly once I fully clean it

If you had said "because it's my mom, the woman gave me life and that is worth more than I can give back" or "It will provide the most impressive before and afters possible" I'd totally back your decision. As soon as my leg heals I will be doing a full detail on my mom's 97 Neon. It maybe lipstick on a pig but it's my mom and doing nice things for her is something I just do from time to time.

No excuses exist for letting an interior get that bad though, it doesn't take much effort to keep something clean once it has already been fully cleaned.

I was not talking about making napalm. I have seen detailers add a cup of gasoline to a couple gallons of hot water with powdered tide laundry. That homegrown mixture took out satins that any other product would not touch. There are plenty of APC products on the market. You just have to find one that works. Using gasoline and a match on that interior may not be a bad idea.

We used to use this mixture as a floor cleaner.

What kind of a date would get into that nasty thing?

That interior will never truly be clean again, all those spills and stains are soaked and embedded into the foam material under the upholstery, you'll never get that all out.

That's why I plan to clean it with an extractor and shampoo! To be honest I do clean the interior just a vacuum and wipe the center console.

I wouldn't be sure about that. Woman care more about a mans stability than materialistic things. Gotta know what woman to get and which not to get

Not to get off topic but the condition of that interior is a hygenic issue not a materialistic one and stability comes from living on ones own and having their own ride. I was just teasing.

I hope you get it cleaned up though and can post some after pics.
 
To be honest not everyone keeps a car clean. Here is a shot of my daily driver. It has been 6 months since the interior has been cleaned and it is long overdue. Winters up north are hard on an interior carpet. Here is the result of just going through the winter. Last weekend I did the exterior doing a two stage polish. This is the filthiest part of the car a filthy mat which will be easy to correct. As much as I hate a filthy ride the end result is this. Sitting in the car everything looks good. Just don’t look at the mat on the driver’s side.

I get you lol

I do plan on doing that and also writing a review on whatever product I choose to use to be honest I want to use two products and put it toe to toe with them to see which one is better. I am for sure going to need two days to get this job done! I know it will be a long journey but well worth it! I will keep you guys updated on when I do this job and as well write a review.

I have a buddy who is a flight engineer in the military, me on the other hand I lift weights for a living though I hope women dig me for things not related to my job lol
