    Any application tips Collinite 845?

I see many ppl here think very negative towards NXT2.0. I am not a big fan of it but still want to speak for it a little. I used lots and lots of different waxes and sealants. NXT2.0 is extremely easy to use actually. It actually gives the best shine I ever see, and it beads most beautifully...

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

One last thing about 845, when you finish it, make sure you tightly close the lid (or any container you use). I found out the solvent in 845 evaporates gradually. I bought few bottles of 845 last year. then for other reasons I was out of detailing business for a while. When I came back I found...

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

Also, make sure you dont put NXT2.0 on top of ANYTHING. It has minor abrasions in it. not quite enough to correct deficiency but enough to get rid of most sealant/wax underneath it.

    Any application tips Collinite 845?

845 goes very very thin. so shake very well before use. after primed the pad, only add minimal amount on the pad, then it can go a long way. I saw a good tip here that whenever you are not sure if you have enough amount on the pad, just press the pad onto glass. if you still can see a good...

LC HT cyan pad, no longer sell separately?

I noticed that LC hydrotech cyan pads are no longer available in pad categories. they not sell separately, only available in "3 pads of your choice" section. I wonder if this is just a website mistake, since I just want to add one cyan pad with my order. I mean the 5.5in X 7/8 pad cyan pads

MEGS APC+ and polished billet wheels

yes, Meg's APC+ is safe on most wheels and tires. I usually use 10:1 dilution with 10 parts of water 1 part of chemical; if you feel the wheel/ tire is from the hell, you could also try 4:1. but usually 10:1 should do the work. make sure you scrub the tires very well.

How much to charge for paint correction?

Wow, this seems like a very low price....$100, that usually my starting price for 1step polish for small cars. I don't even offer 2+ steps, that's just too much work for me(I am too lazy). But if you ask me, I prob. will set two steps starting at $200. I am also in a very small town in Texas...

    Chemically Stripping Wax

The paint prep spray per se is way more than enough to strip the wax. Apc works extremely good for this purpose too. I used meg apc+ at 20:1, strip waxes way faster and easier than 50% ipa or any dawn wash. Just make sure rinse it off before dry

    Various waxes

    2. What are your thoughts regarding Optimum Spray Wax? Best spray wax on the market, pocket-friendly and maximum protection that a spray wax can ever have 4. Collinite 845. I've heard hand application=hard removal+streaking and hazing. go with a thin layer, no problem at all. I usually used...

    Collinite 845 Vs. Blackfire wax

Overemphasizing the difficulty of hand application may keep the newbie(without a machine) away from this awesome wax. I keep using hand to apply any waxes even I have a polisher by hand. (This is so fun). I never run into any issue hand applying 845. usually 3 pea sized areas on the pad for...

ONR as clay lube - making clay too soft?

I actually have the opposite result. There is once I work with a very soft paint. The meg's detailer and clay combo just marred the paint like crazy. then I switched to ONR lube, then, no longer marring. From then on my clay work completely sticks to ONR lube, and I have meg's quick detailers...

Claying Lubricant or Soapy water ???

both are ok but I prefer ONR or other lube. soapy water requires you rinse every panel to avoid dry soap residue (can be overcame if use a low foam soap and high dilution). ONR is much easier, just wipe off after clay, then done

    Wheel Wax for BMW Wheels

there is an article I read compared several delicate wheel waxes and some other paint waxes on wheels. And the surprising winner is 845, which outperforms most waxes designed for wheels. As for OP's question, the cleaner wax won't bond onto wheels longer enough to achieve any real protection

    The most over-rated products?

The mf pads are great unquestionably. I'm sure lots ppl have wonderful results with mf pads, but there are some not impressed by the pads. Considering 99% ppl on the forum swear they are the best pads in the world I have to say its overrated. I tried the mf cutting pads so many times with...

    The most over-rated products?

Most Wolfgang products Most Pinnacle products Cobra towels These all work fine but don't think they worth the price, especially the waxes from wolfgang and pinnacle lines. As long as you do any 50/50 comparison with other much cheaper waxes, you see no difference! another thing overrated...

    Single Stage Paint

2000 should be enough in most cases. The most aggressive sand paper I "dare" to use on paint is 1500. Usually 1500 need to be followed by 2500/3000 grit. So I d try my best avoid using 1500.

Best Wheel Cleaner for mobile detailer without hose

another vote for the pump sprayer. Before I started to use that, I used some gallon sized container or sunnyD container, washed then very well and fill with water. I used Meg's APC+ which is no foam and easy rinsed off. so my procedure: Meg's APC+-->scrub-->then wash with ONR(you will have to...

How to use LC HT pads?

The "blue" HT pads just feel coarse, but it works fantastic! Cut so well. I never used yellow flat pad but blue HT pads definitely cut more than orange flat pads. Plus, guarantee you will be shocked how great it finishes! "Orange" HT pads is by far the most versatile pad in the world. It...
