    @#$& MicroFiber Lint

Glass Towel I purchased a Cobra Waffle Weave Glass Towel (white) 7/10/06. It has left a lint trail from day one. It has always been wash separately and put on a drying rack in the basement. It is kept in its own plastic bag. Do not understand why this is since it is said the glass towel was...

Optimum Compound I have used Optimum Compound with good results. Using a LC cutting pad and a rotary set and 1400 RPM. It did leave a little hazing and light swirls but were easily removed with a swirl remover. It is worth the second step because of the time saved using the compound. This...

    Pinnacle Foam Gun Attachments?

confusing instructions Deflector - This piece can be used instead of the foam nozzle to deflect exiting water downward and into a wider path. This piece is best suited for spraying non-foaming cleaners over a broad area. I found the assembly instructions confusing and not accurate. As far as...

    Ssr1

Received my AG shipment yesterday. One of the things I ordered was 32 ounces of SSR1. Poorboy's advises that you shake well. The bottle was so full and the contents so thick, there was no way I could shake well. I would be interested in knowing how much settling is going on and just how much...

    Ordered myself a rotary today

6 in. backing plate If your rotary comes with anything larger than a 6 in. backing plate it's not going to fit the 7 1/2-inch curved edge pads. I think you'll find the rotary not as intimidating as you might think. Learn some basics use common sense, you should have a pleasant experience. 6"...

    Clear Coat- Orange Peel

Consider the clearcoat as a kind of window. As viewed through the clearcoat 'window,' the base coat is dull. What illuminates and adds luster to it are properties in the clearcoat--among them screening agents which screen out ultraviolet rays, which, in conventional car finishes, bleach and fade...

    Noob & confused....

No one right way There are basic guidelines but no one "right" way to polish with a circular polisher. How the machine is held, the motions used and the speed selected will vary from person to person and will likely change as you gain more experience. If you keep the speed in the 1000 rpm...

    Noob & confused....

Rotary Techniques While some manufacturers recommend buffing with their pads flat on the surface, I have never mastered this technique. I find the larger pads used on circular polishers are very squirrelly when placed flat on the surface. I find that tilting the polisher just a little gives me...

Mission: Wetsanding - Many pics inside

Good Job Good job Greg, wet standing sure does save a lot of time. I would like to have a thickness gauge. I don't detail professionally, only for my pleasure on my own vehicles, I never invested in a gauge. Your neighbor, Kettering, Ohio

    Drying foam pads

After I spin them and squeeze them in a towel, I pinch the edge, if I don't see any water coming to the surface they are ready to go. If you got them clean I don't know why they wouldn't be as effective as they were new, provided they have not been torn up.
