Just picked a 7335 for $20 at a pawn shop, Ordered the backing pad and buffing pads from Auto Geek for $65

What was the funniest thing you saw about detailing? Yesterday I saw a couple vacuuming there floor mats in the drive way of the home, it was funny watching her stand on the corner of the floor mat while trying to use a home upright vacuum to clean the mat. To top it off it started to pour down...

Snowing here also. My vehicle looks white instead of dk.gray. 2 storms earlier this week and a lot of road salt and brine solution.

When I do da sanding, I try to blow off the surface and sand paper regularly to avoid build up scratching the surface.

If I hand sand, I go with a wet system, If I use a da, I use a dry system with a interface pad.

I worked the area very gingerly with the compound, I was afraid of buffing thru on the corner, with that said it might have been 20 -25 passes removing the sling and hazed compound at 5,10 and 15. I'm not sure about using the Porter Cable.

Finally got to do some detailing today. My Mother-in-Law had a oops with her 2012 Jeep Compass and a pole in a parking. There was heavy paint transfer and scuffing on the bumper and quarter panel. I used my Flex v603 buffer and Mothers Prof. Grade heavy duty compound with a 3M white waffle pad...

I tried a "Turkey baster". It worked pretty good since you will only need small amounts of concentrate

I know this wasn't a gimmick, but those unsafe mechanical bumper jacks that came with the new cars back in the 70's.
