Finally got to do some detailing today. My Mother-in-Law had a oops with her 2012 Jeep Compass and a pole in a parking. There was heavy paint transfer and scuffing on the bumper and quarter panel.
I used my Flex v603 buffer and Mothers Prof. Grade heavy duty compound with a 3M white waffle pad to remove the heavy transfer and the larger scuffs. I followed up with Mothers Prof. Grade Foam pad polish with a 3M gray waffle pad to remove any swirls and very slight scuffs on the left read door. I need to get some touch up paint to fix a chip on the quarter and a small gouge on the bumper.

wow.....really...., how many passes would you say to achieve those results? Can I do this kinda stuff with my porter cable?

I worked the area very gingerly with the compound, I was afraid of buffing thru on the corner, with that said it might have been 20 -25 passes removing the sling and hazed compound at 5,10 and 15. I'm not sure about using the Porter Cable.

Saved her some big bucks!! Did she give you some cookies or a pie at least?
