What's the difference between the Quad Steel and the 000 steel wool?

I used mother's chrome polish, i don't know how effective it is but i used it with a porter cable and nothing. I was thinking of using sanding but wouldn't that destroy the rims. So, i guess i should give Quad O steel wool a try? What you think?

Nope, the paint is chipped. You can feel the chipp and there is no paint anymore. Maybe the best i can do is touch them up with paint.

So, you're telling me i can't do anything about them? They look fixable, they aren't penetrating the chrome or anything. Just looks like micro water or chemical spots all over the rims that can't be taking off by Chrome rim spray or chrome polish.

Doesn't it cost around $200 per rim to re-chrome them?

I have some rims with thousands of little micro dots everywhere. Is it possible to take them off? You can't feel them, they look like someone sprayed something into them. What product can take them off? Ignore the water spots.

Actually i bought 1000 sandpaper and i used it and left marks but i took them off with 3m compound. The things didn't come out. They are like small nicks from rocks.. but it doesn't make sense for them to be on the top of the trunk's door. They are not deep and you can't feel them. Just visible.
