1993 Mazda Miata supercharged (fun with single stage paint)

A '93 with under 50k! What a great find! You've done a terrific service to the Mazda community. That's a great weekend right there.

    2005 Corvette with Americoat

It kills me that so many owners of expensive cars never clean the barrels of their wheels. And they are so particular about who touches the car. But, better than if they don't care for it at all I guess. Nicely done richy!

Brand Yourself, Brand your Forum Nickname and Brand your Business Name

I think the name would help with your branding. And you're blessed with an interesting name that makes it more interesting, vs "John's Auto Detailing", just doesn't have much pizzazz. How about using the "Before/After" idea in your slogan. Highlight it just under your business name on your...

Can't remove road paint (I think) off a car - please help

I've had good luck with Motsenbocker's products. They have several different kinds of paint removers. The key is to be patient, let the product dwell on the paint, and then use a microfiber or plastic razor blade to remove.

Wolfgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant vs Meguiars #21 Synthetic Sealant 2.0

I've used both, and like both. Wolfgang may have a slight advantage on ease of removal. #21 does well in dry, non-humid weather. If you take it off too soon, you'll see some smeared areas after you put it in the sun ... #20 is very similar to Wolfgang in my book. 6 months is a consistent average...

The use of M105 in hot weather (dusting)

Pics would help greatly to determine what your mysterious flakes are. Next time you're using #105, try adding a couple of small dots of #205 onto the pad with your pee size #105. It helps increase your work time and cuts the dust in half. But in the end, #105 is just a dusty job. As for the...

    Carbon fiber hood

Surbuf pads are pretty comparable to the purple wool, I like them both when serious cutting is needed. You may get a little longer life out of the purple wool.

    Detailer from VA Beach

From one Virginian (and a former VaBeacher) to another, welcome. It's good to find some of you guys at the beach. I still have plenty of friends there that I may refer to you.

    Tire Gels

I'm a Meguiar's fan too, the Endurance gel or their newer Detailer line of Tire & Trim Gel. These bottles go a loooong way. Don't be fooled by the cost. Welcome from Lynchburg, btw.

Ferrari FF by Unique Kar Kare Roanoka Va

I saw a red FF down at VIR this past summer. I think they are great looking cars! Not likely to see one here in Lynchburg though. Great shots, nice work.

    Brush for pet hair

I use this rubber pet brush, works great. I also receive a pet hair "stone" from one of my suppliers. He was giving them out to try, no brand associated with it yet. Works just as well as the rubber brush but you must be careful not to hit plastic panels with the stone, it WILL SCRATCH the...

New 2012 Nissan Maxima Super Black

Hopefully you wont need the #105 at this point. If they are just light surface scratches from a few washings, the #205 should do the job. You may need a pad with more cut though. Something like the Lake Country CCS in white. Apply your sealant/wax with the red or blue pad. I'm not a big spray...

First Impressions: Meguiar's New-For-2012 Tire & Trim Gel

I missed the original launch of this product, but stumbled upon it while shopping. Being a Meguiar's Endurance Gel fan I decided to try it. After about a month of use on customers vehicles (tires & trim), I think it's a hit. The finish is more satin than glossy, so if I want a shine, I go back...

    Meguiar's #21 sealant hides swirls?

LOL. No kidding. How quickly things can take a turn for worse. We all like to see a train wreck. SO, to keep things in order. I was told by my supplier that #21 does indeed have some "fillers". He's a painter and long time detailer who has a pretty good relationship with his Meguiar's rep...

New! Cyclo Model 5 Pro Series - Variable Speed

I've since had the best success with Lake Country's purple Foamed Wool. They too have a limited life but it seems to be longer than the Surbuf. And I agree, the Cyclo brand foam pads are great.
