Key Repair + Fellow AutoGeek = Huge Pressure

Very nice work! Like it was never even there. May I ask which Permanon you used?

Observing PBL Coating Macro and Microscopically - And more...

I am glad you posted this. I also have a thread regarding the removal of CQuartz using M205/SF4000 by hand. Seems like my little test spot I did on my car did not remove the coating. Thanks.

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Exactly what I was looking for. That is good to hear. Not sure how CQuartz would hold but they are both coatings so it should be similar. Again, I am not trying to correct paint as far as removing swirls, just enough to remove the minerals deposited on top of the coating. More like shaving the...

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Haha, you're funny...this car isn't going anywhere! It is just that the wait is killing me to receive Spotless this week! It is kind of annoying too because I have a car show to go to in 2 weeks.

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Also Avi, or anyone else that knows the answer, will Spotless hurt the coating in anyway? I am assuming I won't have to re-coat and the coating will still be intact, but just want to confirm. Will this also work on my vinyl decals? Windows/trim I lucked out on. I gave it a wipe down with a QD...

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Thank Avi for the response. I am hoping Spotless will work, I really do not want to take the time and re-polish it again seeing how much time I spent 2 weeks ago. Thank you. I already tried the vinegar soak but with no luck and like the Carpro Spotless product, I do not have the DG or Megs...

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Ok thanks, seems like I'll just have to re-coat the panels I polished. Unfortunately, I do not. I did place an order for it last night though. Thanks.

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

This happened about about 6pm in the sun with temps at about 90+ in SoCal. I will have to dig through my samples to see if I have any. If not, other suggestions or answers to the question are welcome.

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

Here are a couple of pictures: Cleaned spot: Water spots: It is a lot worse than it looks.

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

I have not tried that, simply because I do not have one. Thanks for the quick suggestion though!

Will M205 or SF4000 Remove CQuartz?

I know M205 and SF4000 will remove CQuartz if worked long enough. The question I have is will they remove CQuartz if let say I did just 2 passes with it? Little bit of a background: I went over to a buddies house today not knowing his sprinklers would turn on while I was there. When I got...

    Full detailing procedure

You can pretty much delete step 4 because if you are using UC, it will most likely get most if not all of the swirls out. Polish will just refine your paint after the compounding step.

    Blackfire Black Ice Review

Beautiful! I agree as far as the "cure" time. Not sure if your experience is the same as mine for Souveran, but when I wipe off the wax, it isn't as slick initially, but let it sit in the garage or "cure" for a while and the gloss seems to get amped up and gets slicker.

    Thinking of CQ UK…help needed

As for your concern about UWW+ over CQ, here is the response I got from Corey because I had a similar question. I use a waterless wash 90% of the time for my "fun car" and was concerned about which waterless wash to use without affecting the properties of the coating. "I would recommend our...

CQuartz - 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee

Thanks a lot! Haha, thanks, where are you at if you don't mind me asking? Thank you! Here are some pictures of my clear bra. Note that the black line you see isn't dirt/dirty. It is just the small shadow that is cast from the outside light. Little closer of the first picture: Fenders...

CQuartz - 2012 Dodge Charger SRT8 Super Bee

Hey all, I finally had time to give my vehicle a good polish, it is about 6 months overdue. Also, it was my excuse for doing it because I submitted my vehicle to my company's annual car show. Paint overall wasn't in bad condition, the only area that was kind of bad was the hood/fenders, hood...

paint not smooth after 2 weeks of c quartz

I just applied CQuartz (not UK) myself yesterday and it does not feel smooth. But if CQ is anything like Opti-Coat as far as "feel" goes, I would say it is normal. I have OC on the roof of our van and it has never been waxed every since I applied OC and it feels "tacky", not has "tacky" as the...

Has anyone used this hybrid approach to opticoat?

Yup, I do that but not on all the panels you mentioned. For our van, I just OC'ed the roof because I hate climbing up there to apply LSP, also it saves me some time because I don't have to keep moving the bench/ladder around the car just to cover the whole top area.

    Sticky dash..... What's going on?

I have the same problem, tried wiping down the dust off our Elantra and the rear deck is sticky exactly as you described. Front is fine, just the rear.
