BF one step verses neglected Honda

chinee says" Problem with BF is that it comes in such a big bottle, i’ll never use it all up, so I have no excuse to go buy another product to try... and there are sooooo many out there that are tempting me. If too much product in the bottle is a problem you could do what I did. Let it slip...

BF one step verses neglected Honda

Thanks for the kind words and encouragement guys I really appreciate it. At 66 years old in July I'm an old dog trying to learn new tricks. I always liked to keep my cars clean, regularly wash and then wax a couple of times a year. Two years ago discovered bar clay and thought that really upped...

BF one step verses neglected Honda

I would say med arm speed and 8 passes per section. This was a little over 4 hours of buffing I wish i had taken another close up of the passenger door. Not too good at taken the right pics to show what i want to show. The before and after was dramatic.

BF one step verses neglected Honda

Worked on my daughter's 2007 Honda Civic yesterday using BF one step and can't say enough about how good it came out. It was my first time using BF and second time using a da polisher so my Technic did nothing to help it, probably hindered the capability of the product. Washed with Meguiars...

    Spring detail done!

To me sounds like same results and same application process. I don't know why all these detail companies make so many products so similar? Being new it's hard to tell what to buy without overlapping products. Seems to me the important thing is just to do something since everyone has great...

    Spring detail done!

Truck looks great and sounds so easy to work with. What would be the difference between this sealant and BF sio2 besides 2 dollars in price. :) I like it.

    Synthetic clay storage

Seemed to work well for me. Gets pretty good reviews on AG and Amazon. It seems to me that being flexible should be better at fitting contours of car better than a stiff synthetic clay like mothers turtle shell looking thing that I also have. I store it by folding in half on micro fiber side...

    BF One Step removal

Thanks for the reply Dr Oldz. Using it as a two step is not the way I would like to use it. Just wondering if white pads results were not up to snuff and felt like I needed a little more cut how to go about it. Mike had said in another thread that using orange pad could leave marring. Sounds...

    BF One Step removal

So, if a LC white pad didn't get the results that you might be seeking you can buff with an orange pad and then follow it with a buffing of the white pad? Would you buff an entire panel with orange pad then move onto white pad without wiping off product. Could you explain the process in more...

    cleaning pads during use

Thanks for the compliment Tony but I'm sure if examined up close there is probably plenty still wrong with it. Bought this car about 3 months ago from my daughter who bought it new while living at the beach. The car was parked right off the sand and with the moist night air and steady breeze...

    cleaning pads during use

My first gig with my new Porter Cable. Wife's 2016 Mazda CX-5 Always liked to keep the cars clean, discovered bar clay couple of years ago and that was a big improvement but this buffing is all new level. Sent from my XT1565 using Tapatalk

    cleaning pads during use

Friday night I took my 3 pad starter kit and did the hood on my wife's black Mazda CX-5 and man did it ever turn out nice. Took some of the buyers remorse away that I was feeling about having almost $200 in this little adventure and still no having enough equipment to do much. Today a small...

    cleaning pads during use

Porter Cable 7424XP I'm going to get 3 more pads each of compound and polishing before I start anything. Thanks When you scroll to the bottom of this thread there is a list of similar threads. Cleaning pads on the fly is what I was looking for. Dbailey and Dereksdetail had it right just didn't...

    cleaning pads during use

yea, rmagnus, after a lot of reading I had come to realize that I would need more pads since it sounds like sometimes they don't hold together all that well and you can only clean a couple panels before they need to be cleaned. This is getting kinda pricey to get started compared to when I tried...

    cleaning pads during use

Hello Mike Just getting started on detailing with da polisher and only have one pad of each phase. Seen the video on cleaning pads when you are done but not sure about like when you are part way thru your project. Do you dry clean it with just the brush or can you wash it out and continue to...
