    Carrand tire shine brush

I use a small travel spray bottle and apply about 5-6 sprays on the tire itself, using the brush to spread over the tire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Black ceramic coating detail product

I can say this - on my "black chrome" exhaust tips, mothers exhaust polish was abrasive enough to make it silver, regular chrome. Ceramic is obviously completely different - I would use APC (optimum 3:1) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Isopropyl + ONR prior to OptiCoat 2.0?

I didn't do any math on this - just went ahead and added about 1/4 capful of ONR to 16oz of 35% IPA. Did a quick ONR wash/dry after polish to get rid of whatever dust there was and then soaked/wiped down after the wash with the IPA mix. Going to do another wipe down with the IPA mix and then...

Isopropyl + ONR prior to OptiCoat 2.0?

Good point! :) The stories circulating about Sonax PF just have me double guessing myself on this, and the post directly above yours better indicates why. I've coated 3 of my cars previously with OptiCoat and have always used Menzerna polish followed by a quick wash (to help reduce the oil...

    Carpro Ceriglass: questions about technique

Yes, you keep working the product and reactivating with water. It has a VERY long working time. I never added more product to the same area I was working on, only for when I moved on to the next spot.

Isopropyl + ONR prior to OptiCoat 2.0?

Any general thoughts on putting a little ONR in with isopropyl/water mix? Just want to make sure it isn't a bad idea.

Isopropyl + ONR prior to OptiCoat 2.0?

Guys -- Just finished correcting my paint using Sonax PF and a PC7424. I am now ready to make sure the paint is ready for OptiCoat 2.0. I've read the hearsay about Sonax PF having durable fillers and Sonax USA claiming that isn't the case -- unfortunate it isn't 100% clear. Regardless, I am...

    Carpro Ceriglass: questions about technique

I had light scratches that looked like swirls in addition to wiper "rash". I used Ceriglass along with the Carpro pad on my PC7424 and it wasn't easy, but I got pretty much all the scratches out. Windshield still has a bunch of pits but I can live with those for the time being. I can't provide...

Lake Country Hybrid Pad and PC7424 - bad idea?

Quick update -- Polished the back half of my car last night starting with an orange pad and the Sonax PF on a test spot (which happened to have the most visible swirls). Worked great but started kicking off a lot of dust after a couple panels as my pad (a bit old) was starting to degrade on...

    Leather interior panels

I think they named it Protection Plus for smaller bottles (and in this case, gallon containers). I have the 17 oz and it is Leather Protectant. I thought it was odd when I received my order so I looked it up then and consensus was that it is identical.

    Leather interior panels

Funny, I have a bottle of that (ordered from AG a year ago) and have never actually tried it!! Dunno why. Perfect opportunity to give it a try. I wasn't under the impression it had a leather-like smell but never gave it a whiff. Opinion on using this product on the dash as well? Also, if I...

    Leather interior panels

Guys -- My '07 911 has the full leather interior so the dash and many interior panels are covered in leather. Generally, I've been an APC and wet wipe person for leather seats, armrests, steering wheels, etc with no topper but am thinking about reverting to my favorite leather conditioner...

Lake Country Hybrid Pad and PC7424 - bad idea?

Thanks guys -- I think I'll try a "hybrid" (no pun intended) of some of the reco's above. I'll use my blue 5.5" pad with the Sonax PF on a test spot. If that doesn't work I'll escalate to the orange 5.5". Maybe I won't even bother trying the Hybrid pad...

Lake Country Hybrid Pad and PC7424 - bad idea?

Not quite :) I know you can use a 6.5" pad on that backing plate. My question is really about efficiency here. Since I have a relatively "wimpy" PC 7424, will it work reasonably well with the 6.5" hybrid pad and Sonax PF or should I not even bother trying and just use my 5.5" orange or blue...

Lake Country Hybrid Pad and PC7424 - bad idea?

Hi all: I recently acquired an '07 Porsche 911 Turbo (Basalt Black) and immediately started detailing it. I started with a Dawn wash, Iron-X, Clay, and then moved on to Menzerna Intensive Polish (orange uber pad) followed by Micro Polish (blue uber pad) with my PC 7424. Yes, all of my...
