Crazy Dual Spinning Rotary at Lowes

Just like any other industry, the things that seem gimmicky probably arent worth the look. I cant see how this would provide any additional benefit to polishing a vehicle other than possibly nuetralizing the feeling of torque in your hands from pad friction (kind of like a dual rotor helicopter?)

    Nanoskin Glide Vs CG Luber

We will not use luber anymore in our shop; the smell attracts bugs and it gets sticky and leaves residue. We've actually started claying while our shampoo is on the car. We do an initial rinse, foam and scrub with mitts and buckets, and rinse just like a normal wash. We then spray another...

From experience, you may find the swirl remover does more work than you think it does. a final polish may be unnecessary depending on your paint.

    Swirls and polish

There is never going to be a "do this, then this" to paint correction because your application of compound/polish will be different from someone else's. What matters is the finish. We test spot the worst spot on the paint as it comes into our shop and find every step we need to get it to 100%...

    Wheel well

Discontinue use of tire dressing as a wheel well dressing. Im pretty certain the wells are going to be caked with crap from the oily dressing. I like the results from CG Bare Bones. Im sure the Megs stuff works the same. We've done a few wheels-off details lately and love the results; for both...

    Viper - Rock chip repair

Thanks for confirming our course of action Mike. The chip was given 2-3 coats of touch-up last night and each one continued to recess itself into the chip so I think we've got a couple more to go. I'll be sure to throw some pictures up here of the before and afters and some progress pics if I...

    Viper - Rock chip repair

I have seen that before; thanks for linking it though. We've done some pretty decent rock chip repairs but never anything as deep as what this is. We're just concerned about applying touch-up paint only in such a deep chip.

    Viper - Rock chip repair

Hello All, Looking for your input on fixing the rock chip pictured below on a Viper. It is definitely deep and is about 2-3mm in diameter but does not appear to be completely through the paint. Should this be filled before applying touch-up paint? Any and all help welcome. Thanks guys.

New truck has water spots...plus a few other questions

Long-term risk of continuous polishing can be eating completely through the clear in areas. Do it once and do it well and then do your absolute best to avoid it reaching a point where it needs any heavy cut. It may be worth considering to have the truck selaed or coated as it lasts much longer...

    Should i charge extra?

Theres always a trade-off between price and quality. it sucks youre dealing with customers that dont see that. Sure, he does it for $40. Is it actually detailed or did he just clean it? because to me there is a distinct difference between the two.

Any tips on polishing Smart (the small car) then coating? (Need someone's urgent help)

If its painted then the material doesnt really matter; the effects of polishing are seen in the paint. Just be gentle so you dont indent any panels while polishing. Id tape off everything that isnt painted first though considering how small panels are on this.
